One Nature , Many Methods .

There are thousand methods of meditation, but the nature to be realized is one .
There are countless paths, but they all lead toward the recognition of the minds true nature .

Many paths, one destination .
Many teachings , one truth.
Many practice , one realization .
Many appearances , one essence .
Many thoughts, one awareness.

The methods are many because beings are many.
The nature is one because awareness is undivided .

Many techniques are like diffeerent doors.
The room they open is one .
Many rivers have different names .
The ocean is one .
Countless are the methods, yet one is the nature .
Do not become lost in the numbers of methods.
Look toward the nature they are pointing to.

Therefore , shortest and simplist path is to recognize and rest in the nature itself , as many methods , one nature .

Thanks la.

Don’t just sit there on your meditation cushion and wish that all sentient beings have happiness. You must also try to make them happy when you engage with them, no matter who they are, or what they have done. You must live your life in accordance with your wish. You must practice on and off the cushion. This is the bodhisattva’s way of life.
