In today's world, where media influences and societal pressures can sometimes be overwhelming, there is a pressing need for awareness programs that tackle body shaming and promote body positivity because it can play a vital role in educating individuals about the harmful effects of negative body image and instilling a sense of self-acceptance and appreciation.

Therefore, our team "The Beauty Within" visited Bartsham Central School with an aim to create a safe space where students can openly discuss their insecurities, fears, and experiences related to body image. We emphasized the importance of recognizing that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms, highlighting the diversity and uniqueness of every individual.

Through this interactive sessions, students learnt about the detrimental impact of body shaming on mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Further, we encourage students to challenge societal norms and stereotypes by celebrating diversity and rejecting unrealistic beauty standards. Ultimately, the goal is to create a society that values authenticity, individuality, and self-acceptance, where everyone can thrive regardless of their shape, size, or appearance. Through continued efforts and a collective commitment to change, we hope to make a significant impact on challenging societal beauty standards and promoting a more inclusive and compassionate world for all.

In addition the group also donated a little amount of sanitary pads and stationary items.

On 11th of May, our team equity movers went on for a meeting with Democracy club coordinators with the aim to underline the importance of gender equality and make sure that the newly elected captains understand the importance of gender issues in the club's activities. It enables the gender advocate to communicate pertinent information, data, and stories that emphasize the need of resolving gender inequality. The gender advocate can build a culture of gender equality and inclusivity within the club by meeting with Democracy Club coordinators following captain elections. It offers a forum for education, collaboration, and support, ensuring that gender issues are actively addressed and integrated into the club's goals and activities. One of our main motive is to analyze election results in terms of gender. We met with democracy members and the coordinators in the evening of their election. There were around 70 members in that unit and the coordinators were both female. As per the constitution of democracy unit, there needs to be equal representation from both the genders in any of the units so that there is balance of representation and equal opportunities to share their opinions.

Gender diversity is an essential factor in creating a balanced and inclusive environment in leadership positions. It ensures equal opportunities for everyone to participate and excel in their roles regardless of gender identity. With the upcoming election of student leaders in college, it is crucial to assess the awareness of gender diversity in leadership among students. So on 30th of April, team ‘EquityMovers” gave awareness on gender diversity in three hostels. This activity aimed to evaluate the awareness of gender diversity in leadership using a pre-test and post-test before the election of student leaders in college. The purpose of this report is to assess the effectiveness of a talk aimed at raising awareness of gender diversity in leadership positions among college students. The talk was given before the election of student leaders, and a pre-test and post-test were conducted to evaluate the impact of the talk on the students' attitudes toward gender balance in relationships.

On 24th of April, our team "EquityMovers" conducted a survey on LGBTQ+ community leadership acceptance. We conducted this survey to assess the level of acceptance of LGBTQ individuals as leaders within the community. This survey collected perceptions and views from various groups of people from diverse universities under the Royal University of Bhutan. This can help identify potential barriers to leadership opportunities and inform strategies to address them. It also aimed to explore the attitudes and perceptions of people towards LGBTQ leadership. This can also help identify areas of strength and areas for improvement in LGBTQ leadership representation and effectiveness.

In this survey, the maximum number of participants (91.1%) which includes female, male, and other genders shared their willingness to accept individuals from the LGBTQ+ community into leadership positions. However, 8.9% of participants rejected the idea of accepting people from the LGBTQ+ community into leadership positions. Besides 83.5% of participants claimed that they would feel comfortable under the leadership of LGBTQ but 16.5% of respondents stated their discomfort working under LGBTQ+ leaders. In addition, 65.9% of participants claimed that there should be quotas or affirmative action policies to ensure representation of LGBTQ people in leadership position but 34.1% of respondents were against.

Moreover, when we asked the participants about their thoughts on having a person who identifies as LGBTQ as their leader, most of them claimed that they are in support of having LGBTQ leaders. They stated that it is important to remember that LGBTQ individuals are just as capable and qualified as anyone else, to be leaders. Also having diversity in leadership positions can bring a range of perspectives and experiences that can lead to more creative and effective problem-solving. Therefore, whether someone identifies as LGBTQ or not, what matters most is their ability to lead and make positive contributions to their organization or community.

Local leaders are essential in shaping communities and meeting the demands of their people. The representation of both genders in positions of leadership is critical for building a balanced and inclusive society. On April 14, our team, "EquityMovers" conducted random interviews among male and female participants in Kanglung community. The purpose of this report is to investigate community members' preferences for male and female leaders. We can acquire insight into the dynamics of gender representation and its impact on community governance by investigating various views.

As a part of our advocacy program, team “BeYou” circulated a survey with questions regarding, “Gender expression.” It was answered by students from different colleges including the College of Science and Technology, College of Language and Culture Studies, Faculty of Nursing and Public Health, Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, and Sherubtse College, to name a few.
In the questionnaire, we asked questions ranging from their gender expression to the role of social media in promoting gender expression. For the question, “How comfortable do you feel expressing your gender identity in public?” 79.7% were comfortable with expressing their gender, while the rest were uncomfortable. It was also found that 87.5% of the respondents were not discriminated against because of their gender identity whereas the rest were discriminated against.
The many gender identities that exist, such as cisgender, non-binary, and transgender, which extend beyond the conventional binary concept of gender, must be acknowledged and respected. Since these are different from the traditional gender identities of males and females, 20.3 % of the respondents are not accepting of diverse gender expressions, 15.6% are very accepting, and the rest are somewhat accepting.
Promoting education and knowledge regarding various gender expressions may be important to encourage more acceptance and understanding between people. Both encouraging advances and places for improvement in the support of gender expression and acceptance have been observed by the survey. By addressing the worries of those who feel uncomfortable or subject to discrimination because of their gender identity, society may work toward creating a more inclusive and equal environment where everyone can authentically express themselves.
