Yesterday morning around 6:00 a.m., video footage shows a man abandoning a white pitbull with her blanket in the parking lot of Chapel on the Hill, off of Tonique Williams Darling. Shortly afterward, this poor soul was believed to have been struck and killed by a vehicle. Animal abandonment is an offense under the Animal Protection and Control Act, and we are asking for the public’s help to identify this individual so the matter can be reported and investigated by the proper authorities

Residents and bystanders need to make noise. This is disgusting.

A POLICE officer shot and killed a nursing dog during a foot chase on Saturday morning, sparking outrage from residents who accuse the officer of cursing at bystanders and say the animal didn’t attack.

There is something so deeply concerning about a nation when the communities can watch such desperate suffering of an animal and NOT do anything about it. This is the story time and time again here in Our Bahamas.

This past Saturday night we saw a post about this emaciated Doberman. The team quickly found her, her back legs atrophied so badly by weakness and malnoutrition she could only walk hunched and limping. How can people let it get THIS bad?

Healing and recovering now but clearly she was bred and dumped, like so many others. It’s an easy fix on the Governments part, if the existing laws are ever enforced.

Her latest litter have all perished. She’s so anemic she can barely stand and she’s hardly interested in water. Given up.

When we pick her up, the guys on the park ask if we can bring her back when we fix her up.
