Watching our girls take their place at the ITU World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum (WTPF) at Atlantis was a beautiful reminder of why we do this work.
This wasn’t simply about being on a panel. It was about young Bahamian women realizing that their voices, ideas and experiences belong in the rooms where the future is being shaped. ✨
A heartfelt thank you to Doreen Bogdan-Martin Secretary-General for setting the standard and breaking barriers Tamandra Maud from URCA ITU respectively for creating this incredible opportunity, and to Minister Hon. Pia T. Glover-Rolle, JP, MP Pia Rolle for being so gracious and engaging with our girls during their interview. 💜

And to our parents — thank you for every sacrifice, every ride, every word of encouragement and for believing in this journey with us. ❤️

🇧🇸🤖 The Bahamas is making its mark on the international robotics stage!

FEM STEM Bahamas is incredibly proud to support the Windsor Wolves as they represent The Bahamas in international robotics competition. At the ITU Robotics for Good Competition. ITU UN Youth Office

Through FEM STEM Bahamas, the team was able to submit their competition entry, and we are thrilled that they were selected to compete. Today marked their first qualifying round, and we are excited to share that the Windsor Wolves are currently 9th out of 20 teams with 125 points an outstanding achievement against strong international competition!

Tomorrow, they return for the second qualifying round and we know they will continue to represent our nation with excellence, determination, and innovation. No matter the outcome, they have already demonstrated that Bahamian students can compete confidently on the global stage.

A special thank you to Coach Kelly Frendo Kelly-Anne Frendo for your leadership, dedication, and countless hours of mentoring. Your commitment has empowered these students to dream bigger, work harder, and showcase the incredible talent that exists right here in The Bahamas.

To our Windsor Wolves: We are cheering you on every step of the way! 🇧🇸 Your journey is inspiring the next generation of innovators and proving that with opportunity, mentorship, and perseverance, Bahamian youth can achieve extraordinary things.

Let’s all wish them the very best as they head into tomorrow’s competition! 💙💛
