This week, I spoke at Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Financial Empowerment Seminar on “How to Shape Your Financial Future with Confidence.” The energy in the room was incredible 🔥, and prepping for this talk brought back many memories of my wealth-building journey.
Let me take you back to where it all started: 2008.
I became a certified creative wealth coach and founded Creative Wealth Bahamas, a financial literacy education company. That’s where I learned that being financially secure wasn’t just about hard work—it was about leveraging the three pillars of wealth: business, real estate, and stocks. Oh, and here’s a fun fact: I even wrote a book on the subject (search my maiden name, "Keshelle Kerr," on Amazon to find it 🙂).
A year later, I founded an investment club called Future Female Leaders Investments Ltd. with fierce female partners, which led to real estate, stock, and business investments.
Fast-forward over a decade—my businesses have supported me and fueled my investments in financial growth.
Today, I'm sharing the framework I introduced at the seminar, how it shaped my financial future, and —how it can help you do the same.
