Celebrating our Indigenous Heritage Across the Caribbean!

Together, we celebrated our indigenous culture, fostered regional dialogue, and strengthened connections across our Caribbean community. Thanks to all who joined our "Virtual Heritage Expo" in commemoration of the 9th Inter-American Week of Indigenous Peoples. Below are highlights of the event.

Join us this Thursday August 13th at 11:00am EST at our Virtual Heritage Expo to commemorate the IX Inter-American Week of Indigenous Peoples โ€“ as the OAS General Secretariat in The Bahamas hosts a collaborative virtual event with OAS General Secretariat Offices in Dominica, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent & The Grenadines. Moderated by renowned Bahamian historian and history professor at University of The Bahamas, Dr. Christopher Curry, the expo will feature presentations by recognized author and former head of UWI Open Campus in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines - Dr. Adrian Fraser, along with Kalinago Chief Annette Sanford of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
