Southern Shores, did you know Social Services helps with more than rent?
If your light or water is about to be cut, or facing disconnection already, the Financial Assistance Programme can help cover it directly with the company.
It also covers a bed, refrigerator, stove, or cooking gas tank if your household genuinely can't afford one.
You'll need to be 18 or older, the head of household, employed, and earning at or below minimum wage. Bring your NIB card, valid passport, a recent utility bill, and for household items, three price quotes from a Treasury registered vendor.
Apply online or at your nearest Outreach Centre, or call Social Services direct at (242) 604-4200.
It's granted once every 12 months, so if you need it, don't sit on it.
