The Robynn L. Sands Recovery Center In memory of her daughter, Robynn Lethara Sands (1991-2015) whose dream was to open a home care center for senior citizens and a birthing Center, Ms.

To provide men, women, and children of New Providence, regardless of race, religion, and mobility a safe transitional housing alternative, the teaching of skills to empower them to be self-sufficient. Brendalee Rolle thought the best way to effect change in people's lives was to bring her daughter’s dream to reality. She began discussions with local community leaders to determine the level of supp

ort for a new social service organization. The “Robynn L. Sands” Recovery Center of New Providence is an organization that provides transitional housing and life skills training for Men and Women. It helps those who are homeless and unemployed as they move from dependent to independent, self-sufficient lifestyles. Additionally, it assists clients in seeking employment or becoming entrepreneurs. The goal of the organization is to provide interim housing and skill training so that clients become empowered, independent individuals. Sands” Recovery Center services are unique in that they will provide transitional housing and a comprehensive empowerment program. Sands” Recovery Center will make a significant impact on the Bahamian community, in both short-term relief and long-term skill development and empowerment.
