The battle for understanding what is going on with land usage in Exuma continues.
A developer is planning a high rise for the Hooper's Bay Exuma......

I am deeply concerned about the recent approval of a major project on Great Exuma without any form of public consultation. How can such a significant
undertaking move forward without a
town hall meeting or engagement with the local community?
It is especially troubling that this approval was granted despite the fact that Exuma does not have a properly functioning fire brigade—an essential service that should be a prerequisite for any large-scale development.
Units in this project are being offered for sale.
It is time that we hold our government accountable. We must demand transparency, proper infrastructure planning, and meaningful public engagement before decisions of this magnitude are made.

As the war intensifies in the Middle East, we had better re-member. During WWII we were saved by Ragged Island, Cuba and Haiti.
Here is someone who re-members how the Ancestors made guava jam. The amount of guavas just wasting on the ground in Exuma is disgraceful. We have made our jam as well.

Land use in Exuma is being abused from Sampson Cay to George Town. From information that we gathered it is alleged that this monstrosity may be owned by the owner of Coconut who got the go ahead when he was buddy buddy with a particular politician. The back of the building is in the water on the sand below the high water mark. We have asked MOW in Exuma and were told that this is above its pay grade and they are working on a solution. How about just telling them to take their FOUNDATION off the
sand?

Almost 7 years ago Mr Chester Cooper went locally and nationally to announce the building of a Youth Empowerment Center in Mt Thompson at the old packing house site. It never happened. If the announcement was made nationally its unfulfillment should also be a national announcement. PLP SYCOPHANTS, PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE, UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!

The Bahamas is RICH in natural resources. Exuma has let the salt pans in Williams Town go to ruin.

We DEMAND that Local Government in Exuma takes down this illegal barrier that allows our MP Chester Cooper free passage when he goes to live in a home that he allegedly has free access to BEHIND the gate but bars Exumians from unencumbered movement.
