The PM of The Bahamas recently spoke at the UN where he lamented the ill effects of climate change. Does he know what is happening on the South Side of Exuma and Little Exuma? Has he heard about or seen the destruction of the rocky shoreline and mangroves for the creation of artificial beaches by "second home owners" or will he cry foul and ask for international aid when hurricanes strike?
We are just as complicit in the destruction of our environment when we do not know or turn a blind eye to what is going on right under our noses

We would like to know who is pushing the narrative that after Sandals closed down the resilient, strong and innovative people of Exuma are just sitting down twiddling their thumbs waiting for Beaches to appear. If it is the MP and his cronies and sycophants and clueless people in NP, just stop it. The closure of Sandals has birthed new businesses. Young Exumians have taken to social media to promote their enterprises. Young Exumians are opening businesses in Exuma without the labourers that Sandals may have brought to the island to support them. This is what we do when the plantation pulls out, the workers find a way to become independent. We WILL SURVIVE!!!!!

Exuma Water and Sewerage Corporation, can you please explain this to us. Do vessels that pull up to the GT dock get a flat rate on the water that they get out of this meterless pipe? How do you measure how much water each vessel uses? There is a water shortage in Exuma. Do these vessels get a pass? Does the Port Authority keep a record or is this just a part of the general slackness in Exuma?

We wish you well sir. Make sure that you inform the UN that you are so concerned about sea level rise that you are allowing the destruction of the sea grass bed in Sampson Cay, the filling in of the wetlands on Tar Bay, the cutting down of the mangroves at Rolle Town and the digging up of the coastline on the south side of mainland Exuma to create artificial beaches. Oh yes, you DO CARE!!!!!!
