🌱 How to control Poa annua without resorting to herbicides? Researchers evaluated the use of Prohexadion-Ca (Regalis®) and growth-promoting microorganisms (Rhizoflo Premium®) as sustainable alternatives in the management of annual bluegrass, a common w**d in sports and ornamental lawns. Regalis® significantly reduced the presence of Poa annua and the overall growth of grasses, while Rhizoflo Premium® favored the development of the lawn without directly affecting the w**d. The combination of these strategies, combined with seasonal heat stress, has proven effective in integrated management practices, reducing the dependence on herbicides and promoting healthier lawns.

🌿 Nepenthes spp. (carnivorous plants) is an ornamental genus with modified leaves to capture prey.

🔎 This study developed SSR markers to evaluate the genetic diversity of nine species native to Nepenthes in southern Thailand.

🪴 SSR markers revealed variability between species, being useful for studies of genetic diversity, parental selection in breeding programs and conservation of threatened species.

🌿 Portulaca oleracea L., known as beldroega, is a plant with multiple uses - ornamental, medicinal, food and phytoremedial.

🔎 Researchers sought to identify the best pot size to promote healthy and sustainable growth of the species in a protected environment. The study evaluated three sizes of vessels, being analyzed height, crown diameter and number of leaves.

🪴 For the rational and commercial cultivation of the belly, medium pots offer excellent cost-benefit.
