𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙧𝙖𝙬 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣! 🇵🇭

Today marks 128 years since General Emilio Aguinaldo waved the Philippine flag from his balcony in Kawit, Cavite back in 1898, declaring our independence from over 300 years of Spanish colonial rule. It was the moment that honors the blood, sweat, and ultimate sacrifices of our national heroes who fought tirelessly for the freedom we have today.

But it's a moment that reminds us of the true weight of sovereignty—a freedom meant to be protected, not just remembered.

True independence isn't just a historical milestone; it's an ongoing struggle. Today, that means ensuring that every citizen's voice can be safely heard, protecting our shared resources, and lifting up those still trapped in the margins of poverty. After all, a nation cannot truly be free when its people are bound by inequality.

This vibrant month traces its roots back to 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟵, when the historic 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗶𝗼𝘁𝘀 in New York City ignited a global movement for q***r liberation and equal rights. Behind every student, volunteer, and leader in our community is often a woman who taught us the true meaning of service and compassion. Before we learned to help others, our mothers were already showing us what it means to be a “first responder” in our own lives—healing our scraped knees, calming our biggest fears, and being the steady heart of our homes.

A mother’s love is the first blueprint of heroism we ever see. It is selfless, resilient, and always on call. Today, we celebrate the “Mamas” who inspire us to lead with kindness and act with courage.
