🌿 Join inspiring young voices from GARN Youth Hub, Earth Law Center, and the Antarctic Rights Campaign as they discuss how youth are shaping the global Rights of Nature movement — from landmark legal victories to bold visions for the planet’s future.

🗓 14th November | 10:00-11:00am
📍 Extreme Hangout – Gasômetro Theater, Parque da Residência, COP30, Belém

🤝 The Rights of Nature (RoN) movement has seen remarkable progress this year, with historic wins at IUCN 2025 and landmark rulings from the International Rights of Nature Tribunal. In addition, the World Future Council’s World Policy Awards celebrated five Rights of Nature policies among seven total awards, highlighting transformative initiatives from around the world — including Panama, Mar Menor, the Agreement on Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction, Whanganui River, and Uganda.

✊️ At the same time, in Ecuador, the first country in the world to recognize the Rights of Nature in its Constitution, communities and ecosystems face new threats as powerful interests seek to roll back these protections. Amid these breakthroughs and challenges, how do young ambassadors of the movement envision its future?

🔥The Power of the Mutirão Spirit 🔥

As the world prepares for COP30 in Belém, the Mutirão spirit reminds us that climate solutions grow from the ground up; through collaboration, care, and courage.

Together, we can build a future rooted in justice and regeneration. 🌎💪

Support Our Youth Hub Leaders on a Journey to COP30! 🌎🚌

Greetings to all!

We are less than one month away from the GARN Gathering in Belem and the beginning of the UN Climate Change COP30 which is expected to have a high impact with the current poly-crisis around the world. The Youth Hub has many projects unfolding at COP30 so stay tuned on those!

We are incredibly proud to share that our facilitator, Quetza Ramirez, has been selected to join the Mesoamerican Caravan on its journey to the pivotal COP30 climate conference in Belem! This is a unique opportunity for our Youth Hub to bring the message of the Rights of Nature directly to the heart of this Indigenous-led initiative.

To secure their place, Quetza needed to cover their participation costs, which will also support the caravan’s overall logistics. Furthermore, we are thrilled that Tosana is also hoping to join this powerful movement later this month!

By joining the caravan, Quetza and Tosana will:
• Amplify the Voice of the Rights of Nature within an Indigenous-led movement.
• Build crucial alliances and bring back learning and connections to strengthen our GARN community.

Ensure the Youth Hub is represented in this beautiful and critical initiative.

This is where we need your help. We have created this fundraiser to cover the costs for both Quetza and Tosana to participate fully.
Please, help us send our facilitators to the Mesoamerican Caravan. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a direct impact.

• Donate via our fundraiser page on our bio.
• Learn more about the caravan on the same page.
• For large organizational donations, please contact us at [email protected]

Thank you for your unwavering support in empowering our youth leaders. ✊🏼

In our recent GARN x Y4EL webinar, we came together as a community of changemakers to explore the intersection of Indigenous youth leadership, Rights of Nature, and climate justice. 🌿✨

Through rich dialogue and lived experiences, we uncovered inspiring pathways for regeneration and action. This recap reflects not just what we learned, but the spirit of connection and collective vision that emerged!

Let’s carry these insights forward as we continue building a world where people and the Earth thrive together. 💚🌎

Reflecting on a transformative Climate Week in New York City! 🌎💫

Quetza got to witness GARN continue to do the work for the Rights of Nature, through organizing events, connecting with new organizations and people, and by leading the conversations with Mother Earth at the center! 🌿🌸

A powerful moment of the week was the Tribunal meeting, in which new folks got to hear about the work that GARN and other organizations like WECAN and 7 Directions of Service, among others, do to come together and report on global events and how to stand up and fight back. 💪✊

Quetza was part of two events, one being the Climate Youth Forum, and other being COP30 Campaign Showcase at the space.

Here are some photos/videos of the amazing event at the Youth Forum where youth gathered to learn how to get involved and dream!

Quetza also shared about the Rights of Mother Earth campaign with those present at the event, connecting the declaration with how this creates Rights of Nature initiatives around the world and informing folks about how to get involved with the Youth Hub. 🌿✨

Can you imagine marrying a river? 💧✨

Writer and environmental campaigner Meg Avon symbolically married the River Avon in England - a deep act of commitment. A vow to protect, honor, and stand with the river, recognising them as a living being. 🌊

This bold gesture invites us to rethink how we relate to nature. What if we treated rivers as family, with rights and dignity of their own?

🌱 Protecting rivers is protecting life. 🌱

How will you honor the rivers that flow through your world? 💙
