Du 23 au 27 mars 2026, Dakar a accueilli les Réunions et Formations des Comités d'Études du CIGRE Afrique de l'Ouest, un important rendez-vous technique régional organisé par le Comité National Ouest-Africain du CIGRE, en partenariat avec le West African Power Pool (WAPP) et la Senelec. L’événement s’est tenu au Noom Hotel Dakar et s’inscrit dans la dynamique de renforcement des compétences et de coopération entre les acteurs du secteur électrique de la sous-région.

From 23 to 27 March 2026, Dakar hosted the CIGRE West Africa Study Committees Meetings and Training Sessions, a major regional technical event organized by the West African National Committee of CIGRE, in partnership with the West African Power Pool (WAPP) and Senelec. The event took place at the Noom Hotel Dakar and forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen capacity and cooperation among electricity sector stakeholders in the sub-region.

Le Secrétariat Général du West African Power Pool (WAPP), à Abomey-Calavi, Bénin, a reçu la visite de travail du Président de la Cour de justice de la CEDEAO, accompagné d’une délégation comprenant notamment des représentants de la Cour, du Parlement de la CEDEAO, de la cellule de compétitivité de la CEDEAO et de l’Autorité de Régulation Régionale du secteur de l’Électricité de la CEDEAO (ARREC).

À l’occasion de la Journée internationale des droits de la femme 2026, le Secrétariat Général du West African Power Pool (WAPP) a organisé, les 9 et 10 mars 2026, deux journées d’échanges et de renforcement de capacités dédiées aux femmes de l’institution. Cette initiative a réuni les collaboratrices du Secrétariat Général du WAPP et de l’UGP Dorsale Nord autour d’un objectif commun : valoriser le rôle des femmes dans la transformation institutionnelle et consolider leur contribution à la performance durable du WAPP....

On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day 2026, the General Secretariat of the West African Power Pool (WAPP) organized, on 9 and 10 March 2026, two days of discussions and capacity-building activities dedicated to the women of the institution. This initiative brought together the female staff of the WAPP General Secretariat and the North Core Project Implementation Unit around a shared objective: to highlight the role of women in institutional transformation and strengthen their contribution to WAPP’s sustainable performance.
