Today marked a powerful step forward for the women of Gitega

With the opening of our new office, we celebrate the women who have just received their loans—women of courage, vision, and determination. This is more than financial support; it is the unlocking of potential, the beginning of new businesses, and the strengthening of families and communities.

At Wezesha, we believe that when a woman is empowered, a generation is transformed. These loans are seeds planted in faith, discipline, and hard work—and we are confident they will bear lasting fruit.

“To each is given according to their ability… and they went and put it to work.” (Matthew 25:15-16)

May this new journey be filled with growth, wisdom, and favor. Gitega is rising, and these women are leading the way.

On our final day of work in Gitega, we had the privilege of meeting the women supported by the Centre de Développement des Femmes de Gitega (CDFG).

This moment marked a powerful opportunity to come alongside women who are already being guided and nurtured. As the Bible reminds us, “two are better than one” (Ecclesiastes 4:9). By joining hands, we can strengthen their journey—not only intellectually, but also financially—creating a greater and lasting impact together.

Our mission in Gitega goes beyond teaching and supporting women in the capital. We are committed to reaching even the most remote and overlooked areas of Gitega—places where many have never imagined they could be seen, valued, or supported.

We are guided by the Word of God, which calls us to go beyond boundaries and reach those in need:
• “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)
• “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)
• “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” (Psalm 82:3)

As part of this vision, Wezesha is preparing a site near the Twa community in Gitega—creating a space where hope, support, and transformation can reach those who need it most

✨ From small beginnings to lasting transformation

In Rukaramu, NIYONIZEYE Gaudelieve’s journey is a testimony of growth, faith, and resilience.

She joined Wezesha in January 2024 with a small kitenge business and limited capital. Today, now in her 7th loan cycle, she has expanded her business to include fertilizer and is seeing increased weekly profits.

Beyond business, her life at home has changed. She invested in chairs and a table for her family, and together with her husband, bought a TV so their children could stay safe, spend time at home, and grow in a healthy environment.

After 20 years in business, Gaudelieve says she has never experienced growth like this in just two years.

She credits her transformation not only to financial support, but to the trainings—especially those rooted in God’s Word—that strengthened her faith and work ethic.

📖 “You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” — Matthew 25:23

This is more than receiving a loan — it is receiving an opportunity. An opportunity to build, to grow, and to transform their lives and the life of their families.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 31:16 that “She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.”
This shows us that a wise and courageous woman uses what she receives to create something greater.

What we give is a seed. And as the Word of God says in Ecclesiastes 11:6, “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed.”

May this loan become a tool in the women’s hands to create businesses, provide for your families, and lift your communities. May they Remember that strength, wisdom, and perseverance are already inside them.

And above all, never forget Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

We believe in Women. The journey of transformation continues everyday.

Yesterday marked a beautiful beginning at the Wezesha site in Gitega as we held our first training class with participants from the community.

This moment represents more than a training session—it is the start of a journey toward empowerment, dignity, and transformation. Through learning, encouragement, and community support, participants are gaining the tools they need to build stronger futures for themselves and their families.

At Wezesha, we believe that true transformation happens when people are equipped, supported, and reminded of their value. This first class is only the beginning of many lives that will be impacted.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

We look forward to seeing the growth that will come from this new chapter in Gitega.

✨ A Gift of Hope Through Generosity ✨

This week, some women supported by Wezesha Project received a special donation to help them pay their children’s school fees. For these mothers, this support is more than financial help—it is hope, relief, and a reminder that they are not alone.

The Bible reminds us:
“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” — Proverbs 19:17

We are deeply grateful to everyone whose generosity makes moments like this possible. When we give with love, we become instruments of God’s care, helping families build a better future—one child, one opportunity at a time.

At Wezesha, we believe that generosity does not only change situations; it restores dignity and opens doors for generations to come.

Thank you for being part of this mission.

At Wezesha, repayment is empowerment.
When one woman repays her loan, another gets the chance to start. Repayment keeps the cycle of trust, growth, and opportunity alive — strengthening families and communities.

One repayment. Many lives changed.

Training builds skills.
Testimonies build hope.

At Wezesha, women learn, grow, and share their stories to inspire others. Each training strengthens confidence, and every testimony proves that change is possible.

When women rise, communities rise. 💪🏾✨

🌱 Rose’s Story: From Struggle to Strength

In the hills of Rukaramu, Rose once wondered how she would provide for her family. A mother of six, she ran a small palm oil business with just 40,000 BIF, struggling with debt and uncertainty.

Everything changed when she joined Wezesha Project in February 2024. Through small loans, training, prayer, and support, Rose rebuilt her hope—and her business.

Today, just 1.5 years later, she is on her 6th loan cycle. Her business has grown beyond palm oil to charcoal, peanuts, and farming. Her capital now exceeds 1,000,000 BIF.

“My life has completely changed,” Rose says. “My children are happier. We have food, school supplies, and peace.”

Now, Rose is inspiring other women in her community to believe in themselves.

✨ One woman empowered. One family transformed. One community rising for the Glory of GOD.
