Burundi # Lives Transformed by the Gospel in Gitongo! 🙏

From August 20–23, 2026, UCCD held a powerful Gospel Rally in Gitongo,Gitega province and we witnessed days of transformation, freedom, healing, and hope.

🙌 Many people gave their lives to Jesus Christ.
🔥 Some brought forward amulets and objects they had trusted for spiritual power and surrendered them to be burned.
⛓️ Those who were oppressed experienced freedom and deliverance through the power of Jesus.
❤️‍🩹 The sick were prayed for, and many testified to receiving healing.
This is more than an event—it is lives being transformed by the Gospel!

Thank you for making this possible through your prayers and support. Your partnership is helping the Gospel reach more communities across Burundi.

Burundi Story: Jolie Colombe Marketplace leaders a New Idea into an Opportunity

Jolie Colombe is a secondary school student from Gitega Province and a young beekeeper. Her journey into entrepreneurship began through Discipling Marketplace Leaders (DML), a UCCD project, where she learned about creating jobs and discovering new opportunities.

“After the DML training, I started asking myself: What can I do myself? I looked at what people in my community were doing, and then I thought: Why can’t I also become a beekeeper?” she testifies.

Despite the fact that beekeeping is not commonly associated with girls in Burundi, Jolie decided to give it a try. She sought guidance from experienced beekeepers and learned how to build beehives and harvest honey.
Today, she has two active beehives and continues to expand her project.
“I cannot say that I have reached a very impressive level yet, but I currently have two active beehives with bees. I also have other hives that I have already installed, and I believe that within the next two weeks, things will be going well.” Says,Jolie

She affirms that a well-developed hive can produce up to 3 kg of honey, which can be sold for at least 35,000 BIF.

Jolie’s story shows how Discipling Marketplace Leaders(DML) can inspire young people to turn ideas into opportunities, overcome cultural barriers, and take steps toward creating their own livelihoods.

Burundi on the miracles of God through UCCD Burundi

We continue to reflect on the miracles that God is working through UCCD Burundi in the Discipling Marketplace Leaders (DML) project.

Today, we share the inspiring testimonies of two DML students who started successful income-generating projects after completing the training.

These stories were recorded during the Entrepreneurship Youth Conference held at Gitaga International Academy (GIA), Gitega, from 12–18 July 2026.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for and support UCCD. Together, we are equipping leaders and transforming communities for Christ.

This Tuesday,28 July 2026, UCCD Burundi had the joy of welcoming visitors from the United States who came to witness the amazing work God is doing through our ministry across Burundi.

They were encouraged by the many initiatives transforming lives and communities. During their visit, they also stopped at Masama Hope Centre, a centre dedicated to retired pastors, where they spent time praying for UCCD, asking God to bless our future plans and continue using this ministry to bring hope, transformation, and lasting impact throughout the nation.

We are deeply grateful for their visit, encouragement, and prayers. Together, we continue to advance God's mission and serve Burundi for His glory! 🙏
