On June 24, 2026, American Corner Bururi launched its summer programming for the American Corner Basketball Academy (ACBA), featuring a visit from the U.S. Embassy’s Sports Diplomacy delegation. The event seamlessly paired athletics with literacy through a generous book donation to enrich the library and coaching toolkit. On the court, the delegation and coordinators led an interactive clinic focused on teamwork, smart game strategies, and the physics of basketball such as launch angles and shot trajectories. This successful kickoff beautifully blended diplomacy, sportsmanship, and education, setting an inspiring tone for the summer season.
