ARISE Initiative was honored to be invited to the 5th edition of the AYLF Small Group UNG-Buja Conference–Debate on “Jeunesse, Leadership & Santé: Construire l’Afrique que nous voulons à l’horizon 2063.”

The conversations reminded us that Africa’s future is something we actively shape through young people, bold leadership, accessible healthcare, and collective action.

We are grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn, connect, and contribute to conversations that place young people at the heart of Africa’s transformation.

ARISE Initiative had the opportunity to conduct a bullying awareness session at Green Hills International College, with the help of Belle Ange Ngabirano who led the session to perfection, we engaged with students in meaningful discussions on the nature and impact of bullying and the importance of fostering respectful relationships within school communities.

The session highlighted the role each of us can play in creating an environment where every young person feels safe, valued, respected, and included. Through awareness, open dialogue, and collective responsibility, we saw that we can challenge harmful behaviors and promote a culture of empathy and dignity.🎗️

We concluded the session with the message that together we can make schools safer spaces for everyone.😊

A big thanks to the incredibly talented students who played their roles perfectly and to their school educators who allowed us to have such an amazing time with them and to Arise Initiative members and to whoever contributed to make this event happen.

During our visit to Umurundi Arts Team, the founder shared that many young people join the team to explore drama, music, and other forms of art, but young people with disabilities have not yet had the opportunity to join.
Maybe it’s a lack of information. Maybe they don’t know these spaces are open for them.
Through Babikoragute, we want to help create more inclusive spaces where every young person can discover, express, and share their talent.
Art is for everyone. 🤝

In this video, a blind student shares his experience and reminds us that inclusion means creating learning environments where everyone can participate and succeed.
