Le 29 juillet 2026, la Fondation UWIRAGIYE a eu l'honneur de participer, à l'Atelier de plaidoyer sur la prise en compte des besoins spécifiques des personnes vivant avec un handicap, organisé par l'Union des Personnes Handicapées du Burundi (UPHB) au King's Conference Center.

Lorsque les institutions publiques, les organisations de personnes handicapées, les partenaires et la société civile se réunissent autour d'une même vision, de nouvelles opportunités émergent pour bâtir un Burundi plus juste, plus accessible et plus inclusif.

À la Fondation UWIRAGIYE, nous croyons que chaque espace de dialogue est une occasion de faire progresser les droits, l'inclusion et l'égalité des chances, en particulier pour les enfants vivant avec une déficience visuelle.

Ensemble, continuons à construire un avenir où personne n'est laissé de côté.

Une visite porteuse d’espoir pour l’éducation inclusive

Le vendredi 10 juillet 2026, nous avons eu l’honneur d’accueillir Son Excellence M. Édouard Bizimana, Ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération au Développement et de l’Intégration régionale.

Au cours de cette visite, il a rencontré nos élèves, découvert leur quotidien et salué leur détermination, leur talent ainsi que l’excellence de leurs résultats.

Cette rencontre rappelle une conviction qui nous anime chaque jour : les enfants vivant avec un handicap visuel ont les mêmes capacités d’apprendre, de réussir et de contribuer pleinement à la société, dès lors qu’ils bénéficient d’une éducation de qualité, d’un accompagnement adapté et d’opportunités équitables.

Nous remercions chaleureusement Son Excellence pour son soutien à l’éducation inclusive et pour son engagement à faire connaître la mission de la Fondation UWIRAGIYE auprès des partenaires internationaux.

Ensemble, poursuivons notre engagement pour bâtir un avenir où chaque enfant peut apprendre, s’épanouir et réaliser son plein potentiel.
