We were volunteers from Greece, Italy, Spain, Georgia, Turkey and Bulgaria. The location of our project were the beautiful and inspiring forest in Varhovrah, municipality of Perushtitsa, Bulgaria. Here we were learn more about environmental topics, increasing our consciousness about ecology and sustainability, sharing it with the local community. The project lasted for two months (19 of March-16 o
f May) and our activities were be the following:
- Work on site (art installations and upcycling);
- Filming, selection and compiling of pictures;
- Create decors for eco short-term movies;
- Workshops (arts, food, tradition, music and dancing);
- Field visits (discover local traditions);
- Promotion of the project. The project activities were implemented on the principle of non-formal and informal learning. Aside from outdoor activities, we were ambassadors of culture and art through culinary traditions.
