What does it take to give a 35+ years old network a new visual identity?

For EAPN, it was never simply about creating a new look.

Our new visual identity needed to reflect the network behind it. More than 30 national networks and 12 European organisations, bringing together expertise, advocacy and the lived experience of poverty across Europe.

That meant finding a balance. 𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲.

The new identity brings that thinking into the visual system itself. The 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗼 keeps a connection to EAPN's history, while making the identity clearer and more adaptable. The 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 creates more room for expression and movement, while typography gives our messages greater presence and structure.

This new look was 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Feedback from members and governance bodies helped set the direction throughout the process.

The identity may be new. The ambition is the same.

We remain united by one shared goal: the eradication of poverty.

EU Anti-Poverty Day 2026 | 13 October | European Parliament, Brussels

The EU has set 2050 as the horizon for eradicating poverty. Now comes the question, of how will the EU Anti-Poverty Strategy help turn this ambition into action?

On 13 October 2026, EAPN will bring together people with lived experience of poverty, European institutions and civil society organisations at the European Parliament in Brussels for the second edition of , co-organised with Members of the European Parliament from The Left, Greens/EFA in the European Parliament, Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament and Renew Europe.

92.7 million people in the EU, representing 1 in 5 people, live at risk of poverty or social exclusion. When the European Union sets the goal of eradicating poverty by 2050, a debate needs to take place: What resources, policies and rights are needed? How do we protect social rights? And how can people experiencing poverty shape the solutions that will affect their lives? For , this is the core of what makes Anti-Poverty Day.
