The vid is a bit dark but content-wise, it's growth conducive if you're working on headstand.

This is headstand-PREP vinyasa flow to fire your core, stabilise and strengthen your shoulders and get a sense of transferring your weight onto the base of the pose.

Created this in February 2022, only posting it now December 2023 - better late, eh!

Lemme know if you've got any questions.

If you aspire to do headstand, follow along to build strong foundations to elevate your practice. ...

Hey hey! Going to start teaching yoga at starting September 5th.

This welcome-back class is £6 - which is less than a pint.

Warning ⚠️
Side effects of continuous yoga practice include:

✨Being less pi**ed off with stuff that normally annoys the hell out of you.

✨Not wanting to argue anymore.

✨Better sleep. That's a big one.

✨Coping with life's challenges with more ease.

✨Falling more in love with your current job because you have nothing but gratitude for it.

I will be focusing on correct technique and encouraging you to explore how it feels in your body.

I teach yoga enriching classes with knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics whilst honouring the tradition of yoga.
Bringing the world of science and philosophy together.
I rely on functional exercises that provide strong foundations to get your body strong and supple.

I haven't done any of this (apart from teaching, OFC), so it was a big step. Just wanted to share.

Hope you find my awkwardness cute and the technique useful.

See you in the gap 🙌✨

Whatever the reason, Yoga Philosophy Bites are here to usher you on a light-hearted adventure to explore historical, social and spiritual themes of yoga at our discussion-based workshops.

Check out some thoughts from previous yoga workshops participants:

An experience I will never forget. I left with more confidence, more knowledge and a connection to the roots of yoga, which has transformed how I see my practice.

As Sahara Rose says: Food is divine medicine that is meant to be enjoyed.

Led by this inspiration, you'll recharge your energy with bliss balls and other digestive-boosting, stress-relieving, hormone-balancing snacks to get your brain gears going for the philosophy discussion-based workshop followed by a Q&A.

Are you concerned it will be too spiritual or in-depth? No need.

After the lecture and Q&A, you will nurture your nervous system with chill out yoga.

Are you finding yourself feeling anxious more often that you'd like?

Next time you do, I want you to check in with your breath. Note everything you notice about it.

Where can you feel your breath? What's the quality of it?

There's no right or wrong here. Whatever is, simply is. This is the hardest thing you learn through mindful awareness and yoga practice. To allowe sensation to be as they are and observe them.

You may sometimes find yourself feeling on edge for no apparent reason. It's not pleasant. What to do?

Acknowledge that anxiety is present (it's OK!). Focus on breathing deeply into your belly to relax the diaphragm.

Do it for at least a couple of minutes.

The discomfort might still remain but you're learning how to use your breath as a tool and disengage from worrisome thoughts, which will ultimate change how you perceive anxiety and your relationship with your breath.

Want to learn how to use your breath to find peace and centre yourself?

Book your Yoga with Mags class NOW www.yogawithmags.co.uk
Your first class is free for in-person and online classes.

You're a few breaths away from a calmer you. What a great place it can be to be in.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙜𝙖 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙨

𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙩:: Yoga isn't everything.

It might tick all the boxes for some (except for cardio workout, I will explain in another post), but for the majority of people, it isn't.

Venture out. Yoga often focuses on eccentric work, known as negatives in weight lifting (think lowering in chaturanga). There's no pulling (like in pole dancing or pull-ups) as I don't class bow or dancer's poses doing enough to strengthen posterior deltoids.

COMMENT IF YOU THINK I'M WRONG

Thanks to the encouragement of , I've been doing more shoulder & upper body strengthening and cardio lately and already feeling the effects.

Thanks to the courtesy of , I'm trying to release some knots in my mid-back.

This video is me thinking, "have they gone yet."
