We use packaging for a few minutes, yet it can stay in the environment for hundreds of years. 🇺🇦 Ukrainian start-up S.Lab has grown an alternative - literally. 🍄

Founded by Julia Bialetska and Yevhen Tomilin, S.Lab turns mycelium and agricultural waste into fully home-compostable packaging, now certified and piloted with major corporations. With support from the EU-funded Greencubator programme, the team took its technology from laboratory prototypes to a production network expanding across Europe and Asia.

🏆 Winning the EuroQuiz brought 🇲🇩 17 Moldovan students to 🇧🇪 Brussels - and our Young European Ambassadors were ready with a workshop that went straight to the point.

🎓 Working in groups, participants explored Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, EU4Youth, and Erasmus Mundus - researching who can apply, how to do it, and what each programme actually offers. The event was organised in cooperation with GOPA PACE and the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to 🇪🇺 the European Union.

Ahead of World Youth Skills Day tomorrow, the story of Andrei Cebotaru shows how new skills can turn free time into something of your own. 🇲🇩

A firefighter from the village of Ruseștii Noi in Moldova, Andrei wanted to put his spare hours to good use. Through the Persp@ctive project, part of the EU-funded 🇪🇺 EU4Youth programme, he learned the basics of entrepreneurship, from writing a business plan to running his first SWOT analysis, and built a cleaning and painting service for his rural community.
