Celebrating Diversity in Unity

On 13/6/2026, the International Students’ Office (ISO) at Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine organized a special cultural day to celebrate the rich diversity of students from different nationalities.

Studying in a multicultural environment is one of the most meaningful experiences alongside the medical journey. The interactions, shared moments, and unexpected bonds make university life more vibrant and memorable.

As always, my beloved country never disappoints when it comes to culture. South Sudan was beautifully represented through traditional attire, food, snacks, and cultural displays. I am proud that South Sudan was among the top participating countries in this program.

I would like to sincerely acknowledge the dedication of my fellow students and extend special appreciation to our chairman, Joseph Obwany, whose continuous support contributed greatly to the success of day.

This celebration reminded me of the strength, peace, and unity that exist among us as South Sudanese. It was a beautiful opportunity to showcase our identity, values, and traditions under the theme:

“One People, Many Cultures, One Nation.”

Yours sincerely,
Awor Rebecca
Ain Shams University Representative
