, REPRESENTATION IS NOT A DECORATION. IT IS A RESPONSIBILITY.
To represent a cultural institution, a royal house, a traditional authority or an international organisation should mean more than carrying a title, displaying an insignia or attending ceremonies.
CREDIBLE REPRESENTATION REQUIRES WORK.
It means understanding the institution one speaks for. It means communicating accurately, protecting its dignity, opening meaningful contacts, identifying opportunities and acting in a way that strengthens trust rather than personal prestige.
A representative should be able to answer a simple question: What have I contributed?
Have I created access to knowledge or networks? Have I supported cultural visibility? Have I helped establish a serious partnership? Have I brought useful expertise, resources or opportunities to the people and institutions I claim to serve?
For GDAAL, representation must therefore be connected to service, accountability and measurable contribution.
STATUS WITHOUT SERVICE IS EMPTY. REPRESENTATION GAINS MEANING THROUGH RESPONSIBILITY.
We value contact with representatives and institutions that understand representation as active service and are prepared to contribute knowledge, access, networks, expertise or practical cooperation.
