📢 On 6 November 2025, the 𝗔𝗜𝟰𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗨𝗡𝗞 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 brought experts together at the Brussels Press Club to address Europe’s growing challenge of digital disinformation. The event opened with a message from 𝗠𝗘𝗣 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗶 on the EU’s latest AI policies.

The discussion explored how disinformation is evolving through influencers, decentralised networks, and AI-powered bots. New social science findings highlighted vulnerable groups across Europe and the rise of gendered disinformation, underscoring the urgent need for stronger media and AI literacy.

🛠️ The AI4Debunk team also showcased new prototype tools including a browser plug-in, a smartphone verification app, and a VR/AR learning platform, all designed to help citizens identify false or manipulated content. The event ended with a preview of the project’s Collaborative Platform and ongoing efforts to strengthen digital resilience across Europe.

Last week, the AI4Debunk consortium gathered for its 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 at the MICC - Media Integration and Communication Center, University of Florence 🇮🇹

🤖 Over two days, we discussed the project's progress, reviewed key deliverables, and aligned on the next steps to strengthen our fight against disinformation through AI.

🧠 The agenda featured insightful presentations from guest speakers and partners on topics such as AI and fake information, disinformation trends and youth, trust, explainability and knowledge graphs, as well as gender and social dimensions in AI.

💬 The sessions sparked great discussions across disciplines — combining technology, policy, and social science to develop impactful, trustworthy solutions.

A big thank you to all partners and speakers for their contributions and energy!

From AI-generated videos to voices, synthetic media is everywhere and it’s getting harder to spot! 🤯 What once seemed futuristic is now reshaping how we perceive truth online.

🎭 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱.
