Happy Reef Awareness Day 🪸🪸🪸

Coral reefs cover less than 1% of the ocean floor, yet they support and provide for some of the richest biodiversity on the planet.

At the same time, they are among the most vulnerable ecosystems in the world, highly sensitive to pollution, warming waters, and other human pressures.

Built through delicate and interconnected systems, reefs are a reminder of how much our oceans depend on balance — not only within marine ecosystems, but also in the relationship between people and the natural world.
