L’incontro nasce dalla consapevolezza che i conflitti in corso in diverse aree del mondo minacciano gravemente il patrimonio culturale dei popoli. In questo scenario, la tutela dei beni culturali richiede personale altamente qualificato e una collaborazione internazionale efficace.

In tale contesto, il Nucleo Carabinieri per la Tutela del Patrimonio Culturale e il Dipartimento dei Beni Culturali e delle Antichità della Polizia ellenica svolgono un ruolo di primo piano, contribuendo attivamente alla difesa del patrimonio culturale, anche attraverso sinergie tra Grecia e Italia, come testimoniato da iniziative e collaborazioni recenti.

Happy New Year, dear Friends! ✨

📣We are pleased to announce the first event of 2025 organised by the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy - France Institut Hellénique de la Diplomatie Culturelle - France a Gala Dinner - Fashion Show, which will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the “Le Grand Intercontinental” Hotel, Place de l’Opéra in Paris. This event is organised in support of the legendary Greek Theatre and Dance School “Dora STRATOU” (Plaka, Athens), an iconic institution that preserves a unique collection of 2,500 traditional costumes, showcasing the diversity and richness of Greek traditions across eras and regions.

This evening of European solidarity is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Tourism Organization, the International Dance Council at UNESCO, the Franco-Greek Chamber of Commerce, the Mayor of the 16th arrondissement of Paris, and the eminent academician Hélène Glykantzi Ahrweiler.

Renowned personalities will honor us with their presence, among others: internationally acclaimed director Costas Gavras, actress and writer Mimi Denissi, director Tom Volf and Greek Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni.

The program includes a fashion show combining traditional Greek costumes and contemporary creations, the result of the talent of students from LISAA Fashion School in collaboration with fashion houses ZEUS + DIONΕ and PAUL & JOE, celebrating the dialogue between tradition and modernity.

The evening will conclude with an auction of the award-winning creations and other art and design objects related to the theme of the event.

This event aims not only to provide financial support to the Greek Theatre and Dance School “Dora STRATOU” but also to strengthen the links between the past and the present, history and the traditions of Greek culture, while projecting these treasures towards the future of European civilization.
