MEPs Against Cancer The MAC group is the largest and oldest (and until 2020 the only) dedicated group for cancer policy at the European Parliament. Loucas Fourlas (EPP, Cyprus).

MAC was founded in 2005 by a group of committed MEPs for MEPs. The MEPs Against Cancer (MAC) group is a group of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) committed to actions against cancer. MAC members work together in order to improve cancer control and prevention in Europe, sharing a deep conviction that European cooperation adds value to Member States’ actions. gislature, MAC has 146 members coming from all different political groups and 24 EU Member States. The Chairs are: Dr. Véronique Trillet-Lenoir (RE, France) and Mr. The Vice-Chairs are: Dr. Sara Cerdas (S&D, Portugal) and Ms. Tilly Metz (Greens/EFA, Luxembourg).
