Yesterday, our two project coordinators, Ella and Kristine animated a workshop together with Marie from as part of the Power2UAMs project.

Ella presented to the participating Mena children, ancient mazes from 4000 years ago and explained how to create one while linking it to life’s goals and obstacles. We also had discussion on their experiences as Mena and living in and around the city of Liège. The workshop ended with a short introduction to photography and inviting the children to take part in an exhibition with pictures from their surroundings and daily-life in Liège 🌼

NADOE in support of research from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, NewVoices and Brussels Institute for Social and Population Studies

« New Voices » is a research project designed with and for newcomers in Belgium. Our aim is to better understand the realities of people who have arrived in Belgium within the past ten years, do not have a Belgian citizenship and are 18 years old or older - their living situations, health conditions, experiences on the labour market, social networks, and encounters with discrimination.

To collect relevant data, we prepared an online questionnaire that takes approximately 15-20 minutes and is available in 10 languages (English, French, Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian, Turkish, Kurdish, Arabic, Persian and Portuguese). During the survey we do not collect any personal data. In addition, every respondent has the chance to win one of ten vouchers worth 200 EUR each for IKEA or bol.com.
