The Gregorian Open Scout Group is a Community Based Scout Group consists Cub Scout Pack, Scout Troop and Rover Scout Crew for boys and girls, registered and chartered to Bangladesh Scouts. This Scout Group is open to all young people of scout age without distinction of origin, race and creed. Any Bangladeshi student or non-s
tudent of scout age from any educational institution or other kind of institution can become member of this scout group with the approval of the Group Scout Committee and Associated Unit Leader. This Scout Group is in remembrance of Saint Gregory I (540 – 604) the Great Visionary of Modern Educational System, and our main inspiration is Scouter Nicholas Rozario (1924-2003), ex-Scout Leader of St.Gregory's High School Scout Troop, the boys units are named in meomry of him and the girl-in-scout units are named in memory of Scouter Harnett (1914), the first Scout Leader of St.Gregory's High School Scout Troop, also the first ever scoutmaster in East Bengal current Bangladesh; this group was founded by alumni of St.Gregory's High School, Dhaka and Notre Dame College, Dhaka, Bangladesh; many Parents of Scouts Joined this group as volunteer Adult Leaders and got trained as Scouters (Cub Scout Leader, Scout Leader and Rover Scout Leader). Currently the Scout Group is registered to Bangladesh Scouts Dhaka Metropolitan as the 799th Group and to Bangladesh Scouts Dhaka District Rover as the 272nd and 284th Group. Our Units:

Joining Qualification are as follows:
Bangladeshi Citizens,
Cub Scout Pack : age between 6+ and less than 11
Scout Troop: age between 11+ and less than 17
Rover Scout Crew: age between 17+ and 21 for new to Rover, experienced Rover Up to 25, Scouts who are between this ages are also requested to join the Crew. Adult Leader: All Scouts who want to continue their scouting life as well as Parents of Scouts, who want to help the Scout Movement are requested join the Group as Scouters (Adult Leader).
