36 JULY | The Spirit That Never Ends 🇧🇩

There are dates that belong to the calendar, and there are dates that belong to the soul of a nation.

"36 July" is not merely a date—it is the symbol of unwavering courage, sacrifice, and the unbreakable will of the people of Bangladesh. It represents the countless voices that rose together, the dreams that refused to be silenced, and the determination of a generation to stand for justice, dignity, and a better future.

The July Mass Movement reminded us that history is written not only by leaders, but by ordinary people with extraordinary courage. Students, youth, and citizens from all walks of life stood united, proving that when a nation speaks with one voice, no force can suppress its aspirations.

Today, as we commemorate 36 July and celebrate 5 August, we honor every sacrifice that paved the way for a new chapter in Bangladesh's journey. Their resilience inspires us to build a nation founded on freedom, equality, accountability, and opportunity.

As members of SUST International Relations Association (SUST IRA), we believe that the greatest tribute to this historic movement is not only remembrance but action. Let us dedicate ourselves to knowledge, leadership, integrity, and global engagement, so that the Bangladesh envisioned through the sacrifices of July continues to grow stronger.

Event Highlights | Beyond Borders: Your Journey to Higher Studies in the USA 🇺🇸

On 8th July 2026, SUST International Relations Association (SUST IRA) successfully organized the seminar "Beyond Borders: Your Journey to Higher Studies in the USA" at SUST.

The session was led by our esteemed speaker, Md Hammadul Hoque, Associate Professor, Department of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology, SUST, who shared invaluable insights on pursuing higher studies in the USA. A major focus of the seminar was on graduate school viva preparation, along with scholarship opportunities, application strategies, research expectations, and practical tips for succeeding in admission interviews.

On 25 June, the SUST International Relations Association (SUST IR Association) had the privilege of paying a courtesy visit to our newly appointed Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Khairul Islam sir.

During the meeting, we had the opportunity to introduce the vision and objectives of SUST IRA, share our future plans, and exchange ideas on strengthening international collaboration, academic excellence, and student engagement. The Honorable Vice Chancellor offered valuable guidance, encouragement, and his wholehearted support for our initiatives, inspiring us to work with even greater dedication.

As a token of our respect and appreciation, we presented the Honorable Vice Chancellor with a small gift on behalf of the Association.

Following the valuable advice of our Honorable Vice Chancellor, we are particularly looking forward to collaborating closely with the International Centre to organize impactful future programs, foster international partnerships, and create greater global opportunities for the students of SUST.

We sincerely thank the Honorable Vice Chancellor for his warm hospitality, valuable time, and inspiring words. We are confident that, with his guidance and support, SUST IRA will continue to contribute to the internationalization of our university.

🌙✨ SUST International Relations Association (SUST IRA) Iftar Mahfil 2026 ✨🌙

SUST International Relations Association successfully organized a wonderful Iftar Gathering, bringing together members, friends, and guests in the spirit of unity and Ramadan. The event created a warm and friendly environment where everyone had the opportunity to break their fast together and strengthen the bonds within the SUST IRA family.

Members from different batches shared conversations, laughter, and meaningful moments, making the evening truly memorable. Such gatherings reflect the values of Ramadan—togetherness, gratitude, and compassion—while also strengthening the sense of community within the association.

After the iftar, our visionary President shared his inspiring thoughts and future goals for SUST IRA, highlighting the association’s plans for growth, collaboration, and impactful activities in the coming days. His words motivated the members and reinforced the shared vision for a stronger and more active organization.

A heartfelt appreciation goes to the organizing committee and executive members whose dedication and teamwork ensured the successful arrangement of the program.
