🌟 Celebrating Excellence in STEM | Women in STEM Scholar 2026 🌟
We are proud to introduce Hemolota Roy, a meritorious young scientist and an inspiring example of perseverance, leadership, and academic excellence, who has been selected for the SUST STEM “Women in STEM” Merit-Based Scholarship.
Hemolota is currently a 3rd-year undergraduate student of Chemistry at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). With an outstanding academic record, she has maintained a CGPA of 3.84, including an impressive GPA of 3.95 in her most recent semester. Her consistent excellence dates back to her school and college years, where she secured GPA 5.00 in both SSC and HSC examinations, earning multiple Government Board Scholarships for outstanding performance.
Beyond academics, Hemolota is a highly active leader and organizer in the scientific community. She currently serves as:
🔹 Human Resource Manager, ACS International Student Chapter, SUST
🔹 Team Head (Innovation & Content Creation), Chemfusion
🔹 Human Resource Manager, SUST Research Society
Through these roles, she has played a vital role in organizing seminars, research workshops, outreach programs, and student engagement initiatives—bridging science with society and inspiring younger students to pursue STEM.
Her commitment to research and global engagement is further reflected in her selection as a UPG Sustainability Leader (Certified with Distinction), participation in numerous research workshops, and active involvement in national science and chemistry Olympiads, including key organizational roles in the 15th Bangladesh Chemistry Olympiad and BAS Sylhet Divisional Science Olympiad 2026.
Hemolota aspires to pursue advanced research in Chemistry, with a special interest in organic and interdisciplinary research, and hopes to build a future as a researcher and educator who contributes meaningfully to science and society.
