On 29 March 2026, Daffodil International University hosted a heartfelt Independence Day discussion titled “স্বাধীনতা তুমি: ২০২৬” at the Prof. Dr. Aminul Islam Seminar Hall.
The session began with warm opening remarks from Mr. Mizanur Rahman, setting a thoughtful and reflective tone for the day.
What truly made the event special was hearing from our respected keynote speaker, Dr. M. A. Rahim, who shared powerful personal memories from the Liberation War of 1971 and spoke about his lifelong contributions to the country since independence.
His words reminded us that freedom is not just something we inherit—it’s something we must continue to protect and nurture.
Adding depth to the discussion, Professor A. M. M. Hamidur Rahman shared meaningful insights on what independence means in today’s world, encouraging everyone to reflect on our responsibilities as citizens.
The program was graced by Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Honorable Vice Chancellor of DIU, whose presence inspired all of us.
We were especially proud to see the active participation of DIU Change Together Club members, along with students, faculty and staff, making the session more lively, engaging, and impactful.
