Every bit of support matters.

On July 16, Our Team, Learn from the Environment and Lead to Adapt (LELA) traveled to Goenchari village at Farua Union in Bilaichari Upazila, Rangamati, to stand with families affected by the flash floods. Continuous heavy rainfall has caused severe double flooding, submerging Farua Bazar and several villages across Farua Union for the second time.

This relief effort was made possible through the generous support of Associates for Development Services Limited (ADSL).

What we provided is only a small contribution compared to the immense challenges these families are facing. We sincerely pray for their strength, recovery, and brighter days ahead. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, makes a difference. 🙏

We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners, well-wishers, and everyone who supported this initiative in various ways. We couldn't have reached these families without you.

Team LELA is excited to announce that our dedicated volunteer, Mr. MD Mobarak Hossen, has been elected as the Youth Engagement Support (YES) Co-Leader at the Committee of Concern, Rangamati, under Transparency International Bangladesh(TIB). Over the next six months, he will help lead youth-driven initiatives in the region.

আমরা দেখছি পাহাড় এখন পকৃতির সাথে লড়াই করছে, কিন্তু এটা প্রকৃতির একটা নিয়মের ম্যধ্যে একটা অন্যতম কাজ যা আমরা ব্যহ্যত করছি।

​লীলা’র স্থায়ী সদস্য শাহরিয়ার ইমন রাসেল নিজ এলাকায় চলমান দূর্যোগে জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি, খাদ্য বিতরণ এবং ইমার্জেন্সি রেসপন্সে অত্যন্ত সাহসিকতার সাথে পূর্ণাঙ্গ ভূমিকা পালন করছেন। পাহাড় এবং পাহাড়ের মানুষের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে আমাদের সকলের সচেতনতা এবং ঐক্যবদ্ধ প্রয়াস অত্যন্ত জরুরী।

Weeks ago, we put out a challenge to the young minds of Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban, collect the waste around you, unleash your creativity, and transform it into something the world hasn't seen before. And you answered. Beautifully. Powerfully. Beyond all expectations. 💚

From plastic bottles turned into stunning decorations, to agricultural waste crafted into elegant handicrafts you proved, beyond any doubt, that in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, creativity and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

It is our immense pride and joy to announce the winners of the Eco-Innovator: Waste to Resource Challenge 2026! 🏆

বর্জ্য থেকে সম্পদ বিজয়ী ৪

১. ব্যবহৃত উপকরণ:
বর্জ্য প্লাস্টিকের তেলের বোতল ১টি, কাটার, মাটি, মানিপ্ল্যান্টের চারা, কেলে।

২. তৈরি প্রক্রিয়া:
বোতল কেটে নিচে পানি নিষ্কাশনের ছিদ্র করে ঝুলন্ত টব তৈরি করেছি। তাতে মানিপ্ল্যান্ট লাগিয়ে ঘরের কোণে ঝুলিয়েছি। ছোট বোতল কেলেও রঙের নকশায় সাজিয়ে টেবিলের কলমদানি বানিয়েছি। বর্জ্যকে নতুন রূপ দিয়েছি।

৩. পরিবেশের উপকারিতা:
ক. প্লাস্টিক দূষণ রোধ: PET বোতল 450 বছর পচে না। 2টি বোতল ল্যান্ডফিলে না গিয়ে টব ও কলমদানি হয়েছে। মাটি-নদীতেদূষণ ছড়ানো বন্ধ হয়েছে।
খ. নতুন কলমদানি কিনতে গেলে কাঠ প্লাস্টিক লাগে বোতল দিয়ে বানিয়ে গাছ কাটা ও নতুন প্লাস্টিক উৎপাদন কমেছে। এতে পরিবেশের কিছুটা দূষণ কমেছে
গ. প্লাস্টিকের বোতল ফেলে দিলে এগুলো মাটি দূষণ এবং পানি দূষণ করে। সমুদ্রে ভাষা প্লাস্টিক খেয়ে মাছ কচ্ছপ মারা যায়। যদি আমরা প্লাস্টিক ফেলে না দিয়ে পূর্ণ ব্যবহার করি তাহলে আমরা পরিবেশ দূষণমুক্ত রাখতে পারবো
