Meeting between the Honorable Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and Youth ChangeMakers Network (YCN)

Youth ChangeMakers Network (YCN) recently held a courtesy meeting and fruitful discussion with Mr. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, the honorable Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC).

The YCN delegation was led by the organization's Founder and Executive Director, Md. Didarul Islam, with youth leaders of YCN also in attendance.

During the bilateral meeting, detailed discussions took place regarding the holistic and sustainable development of Rajshahi, alongside increasing the institutional engagement of the youth in social development initiatives. Emphasizing the role of youth as a driving force to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), YCN called for administrative support from the City Corporation to prioritize youth voices in policy-making levels.

YCN’s ultimate goal is to channel the merit and dedication of young people to transform Rajshahi into an exemplary youth-friendly city.

The honorable Administrator highly appreciated YCN’s youth-led social visions and assured full administrative support and strategic partnership for the organization’s upcoming positive initiatives.

This strong endorsement from Rajshahi City Corporation has greatly inspired the entire YCN team to work with renewed energy.

Towards a To***co-Free Bangladesh: 6th National Workshop on To***co Control

With the vision of protecting public health and implementing groundbreaking measures in to***co control, the '6th National Workshop on To***co Control' was successfully held on May 12, 2026, at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) in Dhaka. Serving as a crucial milestone in shaping the country's to***co control policies, the workshop brought together representatives from 100 NGOs across 30 districts, esteemed members of district and upazila taskforce committees, and officials from relevant institutions.

Our primary objective was to safeguard the upcoming generation from the devastating impacts of to***co and to amplify the proactive voices and strategic proposals of the youth at the policy-making level.

MD DIDARUL ISLAM, Executive Director of YCN, the active engagement of our youth members reaffirmed the indispensable role of young people in anti-to***co advocacy.

To ensure sustainable development and public well-being, YCN remains deeply committed to driving such policy-level initiatives alongside the youth in the days ahead.

We firmly believe that such coordinated national efforts will play a pivotal role in achieving the vision of a ' ***coFreeBangladeshby2040.'

খান ফাউন্ডেশনের বাস্তবায়নে এবং সমতা নারী কল্যাণ সংস্থা ও বেসরকারী উন্নয়ন ও মানবাধিকার সংস্থা লেডিস অর্গানাইজেশন ফর সোসাল ওয়েলফেয়ার (লফস)-এর যৌথ আয়োজনে গত ১২ মে, ২০২৬ তারিখে এক বর্ণাঢ্য ‘দুর্নীতি বিরোধী প্রচারণা’ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

উক্ত অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান আকর্ষণ হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে র‍্যালি উদ্বোধন করেন রাজশাহীর মাননীয় জেলা প্রশাসক জনাব কাজী শহিদুল ইসলাম এবং সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের শুভ উদ্বোধন ঘোষণা করেন রাজশাহী সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মাননীয় প্রশাসক জনাব মাহফুজুর রহমান রিটন।

অনুষ্ঠানের বিশেষ গুরুত্ব বহন করে Youth ChangeMakers Network -এর সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ। সংগঠনের একঝাঁক তরুণ যুব সদস্যগণ এই প্রচারণায় স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে যোগ দিয়ে দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে যুবসমাজের দৃঢ় অবস্থান তুলে ধরেন।

পরবর্তীতে আয়োজিত আলোচনা সভায় বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বক্তব্য রাখেন অতিরিক্ত জেলা প্রশাসক (রাজস্ব) ও ভারপ্রাপ্ত ডিডি এলজি মমিনুল হাসান। এছাড়াও সম্মানিত অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন দুদক-এর সহকারী পরিচালক মোঃ তানভীর আহম্মেদ সিদ্দিকী, টিআইবি-এর আঞ্চলিক ব্যবস্থাপক মোঃ মনিরুল হক এবং ব্লাস্ট রাজশাহী ইউনিটের সমন্বয়কারী সামিনা বেগম।

পুরো অনুষ্ঠানটিতে সভাপতিত্ব করেন সাবেক মহিলা কমিশনার ও লফস-এর নির্বাহী পরিচালক শাহানাজ পারভীন লাকী। সামাজিক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিতে YCN এর সদস্যদের এই অংশগ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠানটিকে আরও প্রাণবন্ত ও অর্থবহ করে তুলেছে।

নারীর নেতৃত্ব ও এসডিজি স্থানীয়করণে YCN! ✊✨

তরুণ প্রজন্মের মাঝে সচেতনতা ছড়িয়ে দিতে ও নারীর ক্ষমতায়নে একসাথে কাজ Naripokkho Bangladesh ও UN Women Bangladesh যাদের সহায়তায় বাস্তবায়িত হচ্ছে “জনজীবনে নারীর নেতৃত্ব বিকাশ” প্রকল্প।

রাজশাহী বিভাগের নাটোর জেলায় এই কার্যক্রমের প্রশিক্ষক হিসেবে সফলভাবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন আমাদের তরুণ নারী নেতৃত্ব ইসরাত জাহান, ফারিহা মাইমুনা ও সাদিয়া আফরিন। তারা অষ্টম থেকে দশম শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে এসডিজি ৫ (লিঙ্গ সমতা) এবং এসডিজি ১৬ (শান্তি ও ন্যায়বিচার) নিয়ে অত্যন্ত চমৎকার ও প্রাণবন্ত সেশন পরিচালনা করেছেন।

একটি সমতাভিত্তিক ও সচেতন প্রজন্ম গড়ে তোলার এই যাত্রায় আমাদের এই তিন প্রশিক্ষকের অসামান্য অবদান প্রশংসার দাবি রাখে। কার্যক্রমটি এখনো চলমান!

নারীর নেতৃত্বকে শক্তিশালী করার লক্ষ্যে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে এক অনুপ্রেরণামূলক উদ্যোগ।

Naripokkho Bangladesh এর উদ্যোগে এবং UN Women Bangladesh এর সহায়তায় বাস্তবায়িত “জনজীবনে নারীর নেতৃত্ব বিকাশ” প্রকল্পের আওতায় ঢাকা, চট্টগ্রাম ও রাজশাহী বিভাগে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে এসডিজি স্থনীয়করণ বিষয়ক বিভাগীয় কর্মশালা।

এই কর্মশালাগুলোতে অংশ নেন বিভাগীয় এসডিজি কমিটির সদস্য (সরকারি ও বেসরকারী), নারী অধিকার ও নারী রাজনৈতিক অধিকারভিত্তিক সংগঠনের প্রতিনিধির, সাংবাদিক, সিএসও প্রতিনিধি, আঞ্চলিক রাজনৈতিক নেতৃবৃন্দ, প্রকল্পের মেন্টর এবং তরুণ নারী নেতৃবৃন্দ। ভিন্ন অভিজ্ঞতা ও দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির এই অংশগ্রহণকারীরা একসাথে তৈরি করেন অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময়ের এক প্রাণবন্ত পরিবেশ।

রাজশাহী থেকে এই প্রকল্পে ইয়ুথ চেঞ্জমেকারস নেটওয়ার্ক থেকে অংশগ্রহণ করে ৩ নারী নেতৃত্ব, Israt Jahan, Fariha Chaity ও Sadia Afrin Moon, যারা আগামীতে সমাজের নারীর ক্ষমতায়নে কাজ করবে একসাথে,

বাংলাদেশের প্রেক্ষাপটে এসডিজি ৫ ও ১৬-এর বাস্তবায়ন ও স্থানীয়করণ নিয়ে হয় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আলোচনা। নারীপক্ষ' র সদস্য সামিয়া আফরীন এই অধিবেশন পরিচালনা করেন। এছাড়া নারীপক্ষ সদস্য ডাঃ নাজমুন নাহার নারীপক্ষ সম্পর্কে ধারণা প্রদান করেন এবং প্রকল্প পরিচালক নাসিমা আক্তার প্রকল্প সম্পর্কে ধারণা প্রদান এবং কর্মশালা সঞ্চালনা করেন।

অংশগ্রহণমূলক আলোচনা ও অনুশীলনের মাধ্যমে উঠে আসে সরকারের প্রতি সুপারিশ, তরুণ নারী নেতৃদের প্রতি প্রত্যাশা এবং নাগরিক হিসেবে নিজেদের করণীয়- যা পুরো প্রক্রিয়াকে আরও বাস্তবভিত্তিক ও প্রাসঙ্গিক করে তোলে।

এছাড়াও, প্রকল্পের তরুণ নারী নেতৃবৃন্দ তাদের নেতৃত্বের যাত্রার অভিজ্ঞতা ও সাফল্যের গল্প বিনিময় করেন, যা উপস্থিত সকলের জন্য হয়ে ওঠে অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস।
এই কর্মশালাগুলোর মাধ্যমে পারস্পরিক শিখন ও সহযোগিতার একটি দৃঢ় ভিত্তি ও যোগসূত্র তৈরি হয়েছে- যা জনজীবনে নারীর নেতৃত্ব বিকাশে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে বলে আমাদের বিশ্বাস।

Youth Powering the Sustainable Development of Rajshahi!

Youth ChangeMakers Network (YCN) had a courtesy meeting with the Honorable Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), Mr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton.
