In a significant step towards expanding educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth, Prime Bank PLC. and UCEP Bangladesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch “Prime Shield for Removing Barriers to Education and Youth Empowerment,” a strategic partnership designed to enhance access to quality technical and vocational education for vulnerable young people in Bangladesh.
As part of this initiative, Prime Bank PLC. has committed grant support to cover the operational expenses for the 2027 academic year at two UCEP Bangladesh technical institutions: Khulna Wazed Ali Technical School and Rajshahi Basher Adda Technical School. The partnership will directly benefit approximately 700 disadvantaged children and youth, enabling them to continue their education and skills development without interruption.
The MoU was formally signed on 18 October 2026 at Prime Bank Head Office, Gulshan, Dhaka, by Mr. Ziaur Rahman, AMD & CRO of Prime Bank PLC., and Engr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Executive Director (In-Charge) and Director, Programme & Innovations of UCEP Bangladesh. The signing ceremony was attended by senior management from both organizations, reflecting a shared commitment to empowering disadvantaged youth through education, skills development, and improved access to sustainable livelihood opportunities.
