Introduction
PPKS expects an inclusive and non-discriminatory society, where there is mutual respect, equal rights, access and effective participation in all development areas between person with disabilities and person without disabilities. PPKS is a disabled People’s Organization (DPO) working by and for person with disabilities since 1991 in Bangladesh to ensure the full development, advancemen
t and empowerment of grassroots level person with disabilities for the purpose of guaranteeing them the exercise and enjoyment of the human rights and fundamental freedoms set out in the present International and National Conventions and Laws. PPKS has been implementing various development programs since its inception and is dedicated to the economic development of the economically disadvantaged and vulnerable person with disabilities & their family members of both rural and urban areas. To ensure sustainable empowerment through facilitation of the inclusion and active participation by the people with disabilities in all development and decision-making processes. Objectives:
To enhance cooperation and networking with local, national and international like-minded NGOs and GOs in order to move forward. To promote inclusive development to assist in the mainstreaming of the grassroots level people with disabilities in sustainable development initiatives, and in particular, to reduce poverty. Promote to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for the students with disabilities. To promote gender equality and sustainable empowerment for the women, girls and children with disabilities. Initiative to combat climate change and its impacts on the person with disabilities. To provide accessible information on various facilities to the people with disabilities. Ensure equality and non-discrimination for the people with disabilities by the equal protection and equal benefit of the law. Promote to ensure self/employment, entrepreneurship and career advancement by the persons with disabilities. Promote to develop awareness and skill of the grassroots level person with disabilities to raise voice to ensure rights from family, society and state level. Major activities:
Arrange awareness-training program regarding disability related national and international convention and laws. To ensure mainstreaming of the person with disabilities through awareness and advocacy programs. Creating self/employment opportunities by providing IGA training, job coaching and ensuring financial support
Promote to ensure sustainable inclusive education for the students with disabilities through accessing educational assistance, improving physical access and capacity building of teachers, parents and students;
Engaging in advocacy activities aiming to develop or strengthen anti-discrimination laws and inclusive national and local policies relating to sectors such as Health, Education, Livelihood, Social and Empowerment;
Helping to draw up and monitor local action plans that have concrete actions and the necessary resources for incorporating disability issues. Arrange sports and cultural programs by the person with disabilities to enhance awareness among the common people. Legal status (Registration):

Structure of the organization:
The General Council is the supreme policy level decision making body. The Executive Committee (EC) is elected by General council members every 3 years interval and EC is accountable to General Council. The Executive Director (ED) of the organization will be legal person or can represent on behalf of the organization for any kinds of transaction, including contract signing, documents receiving, sending and other management. Financial management system:
An international Accounting Standard accounting system and procedure are maintaining for daily transaction, banking, maintaining books of accounts, bill-vouchers and for annual internal and external audit. All kinds of transactions have needed approval of the Executive Committee. Cash Book, general ledger, subsidiary ledger, bill voucher, invoice quotation, bidding and other documents were approved by the top management committee namely executive committee. Bank account has been maintaining for all kinds of transactions, like salary, purchase and money receive and payments. All bank accounts operators are signed jointly.
