Shawkat Ali Master was a petty primary school teacher who was born in 1938 in a muslim family of Pirpur village under the Upazilla of Monohardi, Narshingdi district. He was elected secretary general of Monohardi Teachers Association for three times, in his regime he fought against bribery in case of employment, posting, promotion of primary school teacher and any illegal activities in the society.

The goal of Shawkat Ali Master Kollyan trust is to assist and uplift those students who are deprived from education and dropped out early due to poverty and proper care. The trust also helps distressed women and children.
