With coordination from the Fundraising Department, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) received a generous donation from Lida Textile & Dying Ltd., facilitated by the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh, at the DataDevelop Prize BD Case Competition 2026, held at North South University on 9 October 2026.

Professor Brigadier General Dr. S. M. Humayun Kabir (Retd.), Director of Fundraising at BDRCS, received the cheque from the Managing Director of Lida Textile & Dying Ltd. Dr. Henry Soo, Strategic Partner of GarmentTechBD, and Md. Towfiqul Islam Sikder from the BDRCS Fundraising Department were also present at the event.

BDRCS extends its sincere gratitude to Lida Textile & Dying Ltd. and the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh for the contribution to humanitarian efforts and commitment to supporting communities in need.

Dengue cases are rising sharply across Bangladesh. More than 51,000 dengue cases and 149 deaths have been recorded nationwide from the beginning of 2026 to 13 September, highlighting the growing need for timely prevention and response.
Through the Dengue Response Fund, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) aims to support vulnerable households and communities with dengue prevention and response activities, including awareness sessions, household dengue protection kits, community clean-up drives and volunteer mobilisation.
