The Islamic University Accounting Club is a dynamic, student-driven organization under the Department of Accounting & Information Systems (AIS), dedicated to enhancing both academic and professional skills of its members. Although the club was officially established in 2023, it commenced its full-fledged activities in 2024 with the formation of its first Executive Committee for the 2024–25 fiscal
year. Starting from scratch, the club laid its foundation in 2024 and has since progressed steadily through various academic, professional, and social initiatives. Our vision is “to inspire and enable all young potentials as productive and caring citizens.” Guided by this vision, the club strives to nurture leadership, professional ethics, and social responsibility among its members, while creating opportunities for students to prepare themselves for the competitive corporate world. The mission of the club reflects its core purpose: to build strong networks among members, AIS alumni, and professionals from the corporate and business sectors; to represent the department with excellence; and to pioneer the creation of quality business leaders. To achieve this, the club organizes Business Olympiads, idea-generating competitions, seminars, business debates, and publishes annual brochures. It also fosters collaboration with organizations engaged in business in Bangladesh, helping members stay aligned with industry practices and the Corporate Code of Conduct (CCC). These include scholarship programs for underprivileged students, career talks, and seminars on prospects in accounting, as well as guidance on higher education abroad. Skill-development workshops on CV writing, Excel, ERP, PowerPoint, English communication, and presentation skills are held regularly. The club also arranges Accounting Olympiads, business case competitions, debates, and company visits to provide real-world exposure. Furthermore, job fairs for AIS students, social work initiatives, and cultural activities such as indoor and outdoor games are organized to create a well-rounded experience. Through these missions and activities, the Accounting Club has already set a strong foundation within a very short time. From its humble beginnings in 2024, it has been steadily growing as a bridge between academic learning and professional life, with the ultimate goal of producing competent, ethical, and visionary leaders who can contribute positively to both society and the nation.
