Social Action for Youth Alliance - SAYA

‘স্কেল এলএলএ’ প্রকল্পের উদ্যোগে ইসলামী রিলিফ বাংলাদেশ-এর আয়োজনে সাতক্ষীরার সুন্দরবন সংলগ্ন শ্যামনগর উপজেলার ১০০ জন তরুণ-তরুণীকে নিয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে দুই দিনব্যাপী পরিবেশবান্ধব ব্যবসা, জলবায়ু সচেতনতা ও টেকসই জীবিকা বিষয়ক প্রশিক্ষণ।

প্রশিক্ষণের বিভিন্ন সেশনে তরুণরা হ্যাজার্ড ম্যাপিং, দলীয় আলোচনা ও বাস্তবভিত্তিক অনুশীলনের মাধ্যমে নিজেদের এলাকার জলবায়ু ও দুর্যোগঝুঁকি চিহ্নিত করেন এবং ঝুঁকি মোকাবিলায় সম্ভাব্য কার্যকর সমাধান নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। পাশাপাশি পরিবেশবান্ধব ব্যবসা ও জলবায়ু-বান্ধব উদ্যোগের ধারণাগুলোকে বাস্তবে রূপ দেওয়ার বিষয়ে অর্জন করেন প্রয়োজনীয় জ্ঞান ও আত্মবিশ্বাস।

সোশ্যাল অ্যাকশন ফর ইয়ুথ এলাইন্স (SAYA) থেকে দুইজন প্রতিনিধি এই প্রশিক্ষণে অংশগ্রহণ করেন এবং তরুণদের সঙ্গে অভিজ্ঞতা ও ভাবনা বিনিময়ের সুযোগ পান।

জলবায়ু ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ শ্যামনগরসহ উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে একটি সহনশীল, পরিবেশবান্ধব ও টেকসই ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ে তুলতে তরুণদের দক্ষতা ও নেতৃত্বের বিকাশ অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

উপকূলের তরুণদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধিতে উদ্যোগ

উপকূলের তরুণদের দক্ষতা, নেতৃত্ব ও সামাজিক উদ্যোগের সক্ষমতা বাড়াতে সোশ্যাল একশন ফর ইয়ুথ এলাইন্স (Social Action for Youth Alliance)-এর উদ্যোগে প্রশিক্ষণ কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হয়েছে।

এই প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে তরুণদের প্রয়োজনীয় জ্ঞান ও দক্ষতা অর্জনের পাশাপাশি নিজেদের কমিউনিটির সমস্যা চিহ্নিত করে সমাধানে কার্যকর ভূমিকা রাখার সুযোগ তৈরি হচ্ছে।

আমরা বিশ্বাস করি দক্ষ তরুণরাই পারে একটি resilient ও সম্ভাবনাময় উপকূল গড়ে তুলতে।

তরুণদের দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন, নেতৃত্ব বিকাশ ও সামাজিক পরিবর্তনের এই পথচলায় আমরা এগিয়ে যেতে চাই একসঙ্গে।

When humans place themselves above nature rather than within it, the consequences show up everywhere. In disappearing species, degraded soils, and ecosystems that can no longer support the people and wildlife who depend on them.

The communities and farmers we work with understand something the rest of the world is slowly catching up to: We are not separate from nature. We are part of it. And when we act like it, everyone benefits.

We are delighted to share that Social Action for Youth Alliance - SAYA has officially joined as a Youth Partner.

This is a significant milestone for us and an important recognition of our commitment to advancing safe water access and climate justice for coastal communities. It also inspires us to strengthen our efforts in advocating for the rights of people living in climate-vulnerable coastal areas.

We firmly believe that the active participation of young people is essential to building a resilient, inclusive, and water-secure future.

Together with our partners and collaborators, we will continue to amplify the voices of coastal communities under the theme "Our Water, Our Right" and work towards ensuring safe water for all.

📢 On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, the voices, experiences, and climate realities of coastal, indigenous women and communities reflected in a community dialogue organised by Santal have been featured in several national and online media outlets.

The coverage highlights how climate change and saline water are affecting Indigenous women and communities, including challenges related to water access, reproductive health, food security, livelihoods, and increasing social vulnerabilities.

We sincerely thank the media outlets for amplifying these important stories and helping bring the realities of Indigenous communities to a wider audience.
