World Environment Day 2026 highlights the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” calling for urgent environmental action. Based on this theme, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society(BDRCS) has planned month-long campaign focusing on climate action, sustainability, and community awareness.

As a leading humanitarian organization, BDRCS promotes environmentally responsible practices through its operations and humanitarian service delivery across the country. BDRCS’ Green Response initiatives integrate environmental considerations into preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. The month-long observance will focus on:

🌱 Promoting nature-based solutions and environmental sustainability
🌍 Online discussions on climate, environment, and disasters
⚡ Energy conservation and environmental awareness initiatives
👥 Youth-focused climate awareness campaigns and competitions

BDRCS believes that collective action, environmental responsibility, and community engagement are essential to building a greener, safer, and more climate-resilient future.

Proud moment for Gazipur Agricultural University! 💚
In the Inter University Table Tennis 2025–26, our university achieved the Runner-up position after an incredible performance against Dhaka University.

Participating for the very first time and reaching the finals is truly a remarkable achievement. The dedication, teamwork, and fighting spirit shown throughout the tournament made us proud at every step.

Congratulations to the entire team for this outstanding success. We believe this is only the beginning, and even greater achievements are waiting ahead for GAU. 🏓✨

Today is World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.

Across the world, volunteers and staff from the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement show up every day for people in crisis, responding in their own communities, helping neighbours, supporting families, and standing on the frontlines of emergencies that affect them too.

Because beyond every emergency, every response, and every emblem, there is one truth: we are United in Humanity.

On the occasion of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2026, representatives from the Red Crescent Team, Gazipur Agricultural University proudly participated in the celebration organized by the Gazipur Red Crescent Unit.

The programme featured various humanitarian activities including national flag hoisting, balloon flying, and a human chain, with the participation of around 150 volunteers dedicated to spreading the message of humanity, volunteerism, and compassion.

The event was graced by Barrister Dr. Chowdhury Ishraq Ahmed Siddiqui, Honourable Chairman of Gazipur Red Crescent Unit, and A. M. Ashraf Hossain Tulu, Honourable Secretary of Gazipur Red Crescent Unit, along with other respected officials and volunteers.
