ডিজিটাল মাধ্যমের ব্যবহার যত বাড়ছে, ততই বাড়ছে অনলাইন হয়রানি ও সাইবার ঝুঁকির আশঙ্কা। অনেক শিক্ষার্থী এখনো জানে না কীভাবে এই ঝুঁকি থেকে নিজেকে সুরক্ষিত রাখতে হয় কিংবা সমস্যার মুখে কোথায় সাহায্য চাইতে হয়।

এই বাস্তবতাকে সামনে রেখে Mumble, MindSpark Academy by Zarin এবং Bangladesh Police যৌথভাবে “Connected but Protected: Understanding Digital Abuse in the Era of Generative AI” শীর্ষক একটি প্রশিক্ষণ কার্যক্রম বাস্তবায়ন করছে, যার লক্ষ্য ৫,০০০ শিক্ষার্থীর মধ্যে ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা বিষয়ক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা।

এই ধারাবাহিক কার্যক্রমের অংশ হিসেবে ২৮ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ তারিখে গাজীপুর জেলার গাছা কলেজের একাদশ ও দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির ১০০ জন শিক্ষার্থীদের সাইবার সিকিউরিটি এবং ডিজিটাল সহিংসতা প্রতিরোধে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির জন্য প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হয়। শিক্ষার্থীরা বিভিন্ন বাস্তব পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে আলোচনা করেছে, নিজেদের অভিজ্ঞতা শেয়ার করেছে এবং সাইবার বুলিং, অনলাইন হয়রানি, প্রাইভেসি সুরক্ষা ও দায়িত্বশীল প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারের বিষয়ে ব্যবহারিক জ্ঞান অর্জন করেছে। পাশাপাশি তারা শিখেছে কীভাবে ঝুঁকি চিহ্নিত করতে হয়, নিরাপদভাবে প্রতিক্রিয়া জানাতে হয় এবং প্রয়োজনে বন্ধুদের পাশে দাঁড়াতে হয়।

সেশনে সকল শিক্ষক উপস্থিত ছিলেন, যা পুরো কার্যক্রমকে আরও সমর্থনমূলক পরিবেশ তৈরি করেছে। শিক্ষকদের জন্য একটি বিশেষ অংশে আলোচনা করা হয়—কোনো শিক্ষার্থী যদি কোনো ঘটনা শেয়ার করে বা অভিযোগ জানায়, তখন কীভাবে সংবেদনশীলভাবে তার সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে হবে। এছাড়াও প্রাসঙ্গিক আইন সম্পর্কে ধারণা দেওয়া হয় এবং Police Cyber Support for Women-এর মাধ্যমে কীভাবে সহায়তা নেওয়া যায় তা তুলে ধরা হয়। পাশাপাশি মানসিক সহায়তার জন্য অন্যান্য প্রতিষ্ঠানের সেবাগুলো সম্পর্কেও শিক্ষার্থীদের জানানো হয়।

আমাদের লক্ষ্য—আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীরা সচেতন ও সুরক্ষিত থেকে আত্মবিশ্বাসের সাথে তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার করে তাদের মেধা ও সৃজনশীল কার্যক্রম এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাক।

In today’s digital world, understanding online safety and digital abuse is very important. In Bangladesh, recent studies show that around 1 in 3 students face some form of cyberbullying or online harassment. Students are often targeted because they use social media a lot but may not fully understand privacy and safety settings, and many don’t report problems due to fear or confusion—allowing the abuse to continue.

In this context, Mumble, in collaboration with MindSpark Academy by Zarin and the Bangladesh Police, has initiated a nationwide training program titled “Connected but Protected: Understanding Digital Abuse in the Era of Generative AI”, aiming to reach five thousand students with critical knowledge on digital safety and online abuse prevention.

We are proud to share that on April 26, 2026, we successfully conducted another impactful session at Begum Badrunnessa Government Girls' College. A total of 60 students from Class XI participated in this session.

The training was highly engaging, using interactive learning methods that encouraged students to actively participate, share their experiences, and reflect on real-life digital scenarios. Through discussions on cyberbullying, online harassment, privacy protection, and responsible technology use, students gained practical knowledge to navigate the digital world safely and confidently.

It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm, openness, and curiosity of the participants. By building awareness and equipping young people with essential skills, we are collectively taking a strong step toward reducing digital abuse and fostering a safer online environment for the next generation.

We have successfully conducted our training session on “Connected but Protected: Understanding Digital Abuse in the Era of Generative AI.”

Today’s session took place at Udayan Uchcha Madhyamik Bidyalaya, where 60 girl students from Class IX actively participated. The honorable principal and respected teachers were also present during the session, making it even more engaging and supportive.

During the training, we discussed key aspects of digital abuse, online safety, and responsible use of technology, helping students understand how to stay safe in today’s digital world. The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions, sharing their thoughts, and reflecting on real-life scenarios.

This training is part of a collaborative initiative by MUMBLE, in partnership with Mind Spark Academy and the Bangladesh Police, aimed at reaching 2,000 students with digital safety and online abuse awareness.

By equipping students with knowledge, awareness, and practical safety skills, this initiative will help them recognise risks early, respond confidently, and help reduce the growing incidents of digital harassment and online crime.

It was inspiring to see such enthusiasm and openness among the participants. Together, we are taking meaningful steps toward building a safer and more aware digital future for young people.

ক্যাফে, এয়ারপোর্ট, হোটেল বা শপিং মলে আমরা প্রায়ই ফ্রি পাবলিক Wi-Fi ব্যবহার করি। এটি সুবিধাজনক হলেও সব সময় নিরাপদ নয়। একই নেটওয়ার্কে অন্য কেউ থাকলে তারা কখনও কখনও আপনার তথ্য নজরদারি বা চুরি করার চেষ্টা করতে পারে। তাই পাবলিক Wi-Fi ব্যবহার করার সময় কিছু বিষয়ে সতর্ক থাকা জরুরি।

অনলাইন ব্যাংকিং বা আর্থিক লেনদেন পাবলিক Wi-Fi দিয়ে না করাই ভালো। কারণ এতে আপনার ব্যাংক তথ্য বা লেনদেনের তথ্য ঝুঁকির মধ্যে পড়তে পারে।

ব্যক্তিগত বা অফিসের ইমেইল খোলা থেকেও বিরত থাকা উচিত। অনেক সময় ইমেইলের ভেতরে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বা সংবেদনশীল তথ্য থাকে, যা অন্যের হাতে চলে যেতে পারে।

অনলাইন শপিং করার সময় কার্ডের তথ্য দেওয়া পাবলিক Wi-Fi ব্যবহার করে ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ হতে পারে। এতে আপনার ক্রেডিট বা ডেবিট কার্ডের তথ্য নিরাপদ নাও থাকতে পারে।

এছাড়া গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অ্যাকাউন্টে লগইন করা বা ব্যক্তিগত ফাইল আপলোড-ডাউনলোড করা থেকেও বিরত থাকা ভালো। এতে আপনার ব্যক্তিগত তথ্য বা ডকুমেন্ট অন্যের হাতে পৌঁছে যাওয়ার আশঙ্কা থাকে।

পাবলিক Wi-Fi ব্যবহার করতে হলে যতটা সম্ভব সংবেদনশীল কাজ এড়িয়ে চলুন, নিরাপদ (https) ওয়েবসাইট ব্যবহার করুন, এবং প্রয়োজনে অতিরিক্ত নিরাপত্তার জন্য VPN ব্যবহার করতে পারেন।

মনে রাখবেন—সামান্য সতর্কতা আপনার ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা অনেকটাই বাড়িয়ে দিতে পারে।

The year 2025 marks another significant chapter for Mumble. We've embarked on a pivotal project with the Asia Resilient Cities, implemented by BRAC and Khulna City Corporation, supported by USAID and JSI. On January 6, 2025, our founder and CEO, A F M Nazmul Alam, had the honour of presenting our GIS mapping methodologies at a keynote alongside esteemed colleagues in the presence of officials and the key stakeholders of Khulna City Corporation (KCC), urban planners, and academicians. This project enhances our portfolio and strengthens our commitment to innovation and evidence-based solutions.

Since 2021, Mumble has been a pioneer in integrating technology for development. Our projects have improved public health, urban planning, and environmental sustainability across Southeast Asia and Africa. We're proud of our international recognitions, including awards from the Center for World Indigenous Studies (CWIS) and the International Conference on Urban Health.
