AIM Initiative Foundation is a registered, non-profit and volunteering organization established in 2016 that works to provide free academic education, skill development activities (Arts & Crafts, Sewing, Music, Computer Education and Physical Training) and healthcare facilities to 210 underprivileged children of Meradiya, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The organization works in education, health, environment
and youth empowerment and addresses Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The organization aims to provide quality education (SDG 4) and ensure good health and well-being of the students (SDG 3). The organization works to establish a sustainable city and community (SDG 11) through environmental development. AIM Initiative Foundation is working with their mission and has established AIM School at Meradiya, Dhaka with a view to providing quality education (SDG 4) to underprivileged children of Meradiya area of Dhaka city, Bangladesh. The AIM School Meradiya established in 2016 and is run by the Department of Education of AIM Initiative Foundation. Teachers and other volunteers are working continuously to provide quality and digitalized education to the students from pre-school to grade 9. The school works to mobilize the local community so that out of school and dropped out children can be enrolled in the school and get the education. The Department of Health & Environment of AIM Initiative Foundation works with the students, parents, teachers and community to address the health and environmental issues from the community. They provide free health-care facilities to the students of AIM School Meradiya, and also develops awareness in the community. Through this, the organization works to ensure good health and well-being of the students and people from the community (SDG 3). The volunteers also organize and execute environmental awareness programs and campaigns for the children of the school, parents and community. They also run online and offline campaigns regarding environmental issues such as plastic pollution, carbon monoxide pollution, global warming and more. Through this, we are working to establish a sustainable city and community (SDG 11). AIM Initiative Foundation also aims to develop skillset of youth of the community by providing various volunteering opportunities of skill-based training for the youth people from the community. The goal is to train the volunteers and youth in leadership skills and implement these skills both in their personal and professional lives. This would help to create job opportunities for the youth and make them self-sufficient. The department of Media & Publication of AIM Initiative Foundation works to make people aware about the activities of the foundation through various media like print, electronic and social media. Through arranging various media and social campaign, the department develops and maintains different partnerships and ensures support for these children and community. The ongoing project under this department is the online campaign in solidarity with the theme of UN Women in by taking a stand against r**e.
