🌿 বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস ২০২৬ উপলক্ষে বিশেষ আয়োজন 🌿

পরিবেশ রক্ষা ও সবুজ পৃথিবী গড়ার প্রত্যয়ে আইইউবি রোভার স্কাউট গ্রুপ এবং এনভায়রনমেন্টাল ট্রেইলব্লেজার্স (ETB)-এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে আগামী ৭ জুন ২০২৬ তারিখে আইইউবি উলুখোলা ক্যাম্পাসে একটি বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি আয়োজন করা হয়েছে।

এই আয়োজনে শুধুমাত্র আয়োজক দুই সংগঠনের সদস্যরাই নয়, বরং ইন্ডিপেনডেন্ট ইউনিভার্সিটি, বাংলাদেশ (IUB)-এর সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্য থেকেও ৩ জন ছাত্র/ছাত্রীকে অংশগ্রহণের বিশেষ সুযোগ প্রদান করা হবে।

📊 Survey Insights from Our Plastic Awareness Campaign

As part of our “Shob Plastic Niye Nibo” campaign under the Millennium Fellowship, we surveyed 50 university students to understand their plastic use, awareness, and attitudes toward plastic pollution.

📊 What we found:
100% of participants are aware of plastic pollution and its environmental impact.
94% are willing to reduce their plastic use in the future.
90% said they try to reuse plastic items whenever possible.
However, only a few students regularly separate plastic waste, showing that sustainable habits still need improvement.
Most respondents also believe that plastic pollution is a serious issue in their local area, and that solving it requires everyone’s responsibility — individuals, industries, and the government.
💡 These insights show that while awareness is strong, action must grow stronger.
Together, through awareness and collective effort, we can take meaningful steps toward reducing plastic pollution and protecting our environment. 🌱

Hearing students share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns about plastic pollution was inspiring. Their enthusiasm and willingness to engage in conversations about sustainability reminded us that meaningful change starts with awareness and collective action.
Every voice matters, and these conversations are a step toward a more responsible and environmentally conscious community.

“SHOB PLASTIC NIYE NIBO!!”

We are honestly overwhelmed by the incredible response we received on the first day of our “Shob Plastic Niye Nibo” campaign! ♻️ The enthusiasm, curiosity, and support from everyone truly made the day memorable for our team.
We were excited to continue the campaign tomorrow, 9 March, but due to unavoidable circumstances our classes have shifted online. Because of this, the second day of the campaign will continue after Eid.
The good news is — we’re just getting started! We had so much fun interacting with everyone, spreading awareness, and sharing ideas for a more sustainable future. And trust us, more exciting activities are coming soon!
Until then, stay tuned and keep supporting the movement. 🌱
