The Hult Prize is the worldโs most prestigious competition for social entrepreneurship, often hailed as the "Nobel Prize for Students." In partnership with the United Nations, this global movement challenges university students to solve the planet's most pressing issues by building for-profit startups. Each year, thousands of students from over 120 countries compete for a $1,000,000 USD seed grant
to turn their innovative ideas into a reality that changes the world. Innovation at BUET
Hult Prize at BUET is the official on-campus program dedicated to bringing this global opportunity to the doorsteps of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. We serve as a launchpad for BUETians, bridging the gap between technical engineering expertise and sustainable business strategy. Our mission is to empower students to look beyond the classroom and apply their analytical skills to create scalable solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We provide a comprehensive platform where participants receive hands-on mentorship, attend expert-led workshops, and engage in high-level networking. By fostering an ecosystem of social entrepreneurship on campus, we help students refine their business models, master the art of the pitch, and prepare to compete on the international stage against the world's top universities. A Legacy of Impact
Over the years, BUET teams have consistently demonstrated that engineers are uniquely positioned to solve humanity's toughest challenges. From sustainable textile alternatives to renewable energy solutions, Hult Prize at BUET continues to showcase the immense potential of our student body. We invite every visionary student at BUET to join this journey, challenge the status quo, and represent our university in the quest for a better, more sustainable future.
