𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 successfully completed the first session of its online seminar series, "𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗵𝗗 & 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱"

The inaugural session, "𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗳𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗮," was an engaging and highly interactive discussion. Nazifa Rafa shared valuable reflections on her academic journey, research experiences, challenges, important decisions, and the lessons that shaped her path to University of Cambridge.

Participants actively joined the discussion, asked thoughtful questions, and exchanged ideas on higher studies, research careers, PhD preparation, academic growth, and navigating challenges in the research journey.

FLOWER sincerely thanks Nazifa Rafa for sharing her inspiring experiences and practical insights. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their enthusiastic participation and for making the session meaningful and interactive.

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫: 𝐍𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐟𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐟𝐚

𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 is delighted to introduce Nazifa Rafa as the speaker for the inaugural session of its online seminar series, “𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐡𝐃 & 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝.”

Nazifa Rafa is a PhD Researcher in Geography at the University of Cambridge, a Senior Instructor at the Asian University for Women, and Assistant Director of the Center for Climate Change and Environmental Health (3CEH). She has also served as a Research Consultant with the United Nations and contributed to research initiatives involving UNICEF and Climate Compatible Growth.

Her academic and professional work focuses on climate change, forced displacement, disaster governance, humanitarian energy, climate justice, loss and damage, and just transition. She is the author and co-author of 14 publications, including peer-reviewed research published in Political Geography, Climate and Development, and Energy Research & Social Science.

🌿 A Proud Milestone for FLOWER & the Plant Scholar Initiative!
We were deeply honored to welcome the Honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Mr. Tareq Rahman, to the Plant Scholar stall at the National Environmental Fair 2026.
During the visit, the Honourable Prime Minister learned about the vision of the Plant Scholar (Brikkho Britti) initiative—an innovative movement focusing on long-term tree care and youth leadership.
Led by SRCL and co-organized by CAPS, Climate Frontier, and FLOWER, this initiative aims to engage youth, educational institutions, landowners, corporate organizations, and citizens in a responsible green movement.
The Prime Minister's appreciation is a huge encouragement for us to build a greener, climate-resilient Bangladesh. Thank you for your continued support!
