বিএনপি “না” ভোট দিচ্ছে—কিন্তু কেন?❓

কারণ, মৌলিক সংস্কারের খসড়ায় তারা **“নোট অব ডিসেন্ট”** দিয়েছে।
এটার মানে খুব সহজ:
> **“আমরা ক্ষমতায় এলে এই সংস্কারগুলো মানব না।”** 🚫

অর্থাৎ, তারা যেসব জিনিসে “না” বলেছে, সেগুলো আসলে **দেশের জন্য ভালো**—কিন্তু তাদের জন্য সুবিধাজনক নয়।

যেমন:

- **PSC যেন স্বাধীন হয়** → চাকরিতে দলীয় ক্যাডার ঢোকানো যাবে না।
→ বিএনপি চায় না. ❌

- **দুদক যেন স্বাধীন হয়** → দুর্নীতি করলে শাস্তি পাবে।
→ বিএনপি চায় না. ❌

- **মানবাধিকার কমিশন, CAG যেন স্বাধীন হয়** → রাষ্ট্রীয় প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো দলের খেলনা হবে না।
→ বিএনপি চায় না. ❌

- **প্রধানমন্ত্রী আর দলনেতা আলাদা হোক** → এক ব্যক্তির হাতে সব ক্ষমতা থাকবে না।
→ বিএনপি চায় না. ❌

- **প্রধান বিচারপতি হবেন সিনিয়র মোস্ট বিচারপতি** → লবিং বা দলীয় চাপে বিচারপতি নিয়োগ হবে না।
→ বিএনপি চায় না. ❌

- **উচ্চকক্ষে মহিলা আসনে জনগণের প্রতিনিধি হোক** → না, তারা চায় শুধু দলের বিশ্বস্ত মানুষ।
→ বিএনপি চায় না. ❌

বিএনপি যেসব জিনিসে “না” বলেছে, সেগুলোই আসলে **স্বচ্ছতা, ন্যায়বিচার আর দুর্নীতিমুক্ত রাষ্ট্রের ভিত্তি**. ✅
কিন্তু তারা চায় **পুরনো ব্যবস্থা—যেখানে দলের ইচ্ছাই আইন**. ⚖️

তাই প্রশ্ন হয়:
**আমরা কী চাই?**
**দলতন্ত্র নাকি গণতন্ত্র?** 🗳️
**অন্ধ আনুগত্য নাকি জবাবদিহিতা?** 🤔

✅ **“না” ভোট = পুরনো ব্যবস্থার পক্ষে।**
✅ **“হ্যাঁ” ভোট = ভবিষ্যতের দেশের পক্ষে।** 🌱

So, Will the Election Be Held in February?
A historic meeting was held on Friday morning (local time) at the Dorchester Hotel in London between BNP’s acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman and Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

The key agenda of the meeting was Bangladesh’s 13th National Parliamentary Election. According to sources present at the meeting, it has been confirmed that the national election is likely to be held in the second week of February, prior to the start of Ramadan.

Sources revealed that Tarique Rahman proposed to the Chief Adviser that the election be held before next year’s Ramadan. He also conveyed that party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is in favor of holding the election during that timeframe.

In response, Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus said he had already announced plans to hold the election by the first half of April next year. He indicated that if all preparations are completed, the election could even be held in the week before Ramadan begins in 2026.

However, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus emphasized that to achieve this, substantial progress must be made in terms of reforms and judicial matters before that time.

তাহলে কী ফেব্রুয়ারীতেই নির্বাচন ?

আজ শুক্রবার লন্ডনের স্থানীয় সময় সকালে ডরচেস্টার হোটেলে বিএনপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারপারসন তারেক রহমান ও প্রধান উপদেষ্টা প্রফেসর ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূসের মধ্যে ঐতিহাসিক বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

বৈঠকের মূল এজেন্ডা ছিলো বাংলাদেশের ত্রয়োদশ জাতীয় নির্বাচন। বৈঠক সূত্রে এখন পর‌্যন্ত যে খবর, তাতে আগামী রমজান শুরুর আগে অর্থাৎ ফেব্রুয়ারীর দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে জাতীয় নির্বাচন অনুষ্টিত হতে যাচ্ছে বলে নিশ্চিত হওয়া গেছে।

সূত্র জানিয়েছে, তারেক রহমান প্রধান উপদেষ্টার কাছে আগামী বছরের রমজানের আগে নির্বাচন আয়োজনের জন্য প্রস্তাব করেন।

দলের চেয়ারপারসন বেগম খালেদা জিয়াও ওই সময় নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হলে ভালো হবে বলে তথ্য দেন তারেক।

উত্তরে প্রধান উপদেষ্টা জানান, তিনি আগামী বছরের এপ্রিলের প্রথমার্ধের মধ্যে নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠানের ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন। সকল প্রস্তুতি সম্পন্ন করা গেলে ২০২৬ সালের রমজান শুরু হওয়ার আগের সপ্তাহেও নির্বাচন আয়োজন করা যেতে পারে।

সেক্ষেত্রে সেই সময়ের মধ্যে সংস্কার ও বিচারের বিষয়ে পর্যাপ্ত অগ্রগতি‌ অর্জন করা প্রয়োজন হবে বলে জোর দেন প্রফেসর ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস।

What is needed for a free and fair national election?

To ensure a free, fair, and credible national election, the following elements are essential:

1. Neutral and Strong Election Commission

The Election Commission must be independent and empowered to conduct elections without interference.

It should gain the trust of all political parties.

2. Participation of All Political Parties

All major political parties must be encouraged and enabled to participate.

Equal opportunity must be ensured for all parties.

3. Neutral Caretaker or Interim Government (if applicable)

To prevent misuse of administrative power, a neutral interim government may be necessary during the election period.

4. Accurate and Updated Voter List

The voter list must be free from errors, duplications, or fake entries.

5. Safe and Violence-Free Environment

The environment before, during, and after the election must be free from violence, intimidation, and coercion.

6. Transparency in Ballot Handling and Vote Counting

Every stage of the election process—from casting ballots to counting votes—must be transparent and accountable.

7. Independent Judiciary

Election-related disputes must be resolved impartially and quickly through an independent judiciary.

8. Freedom of the Press and Election Observers

Media must be allowed to report freely on the election.

Both domestic and international observers should be allowed to monitor the election process independently.

9. Voter Awareness and Participation

Voters should be informed and motivated to exercise their voting rights.

Awareness campaigns and civic education are essential.

10. Secure Use of Technology

If electronic voting machines (EVMs) or other technologies are used, they must be secure, reliable, and widely accepted.
