World Photography Day 2026 centers around the theme "HOME"

Encouraging photographers across the globe to look beyond technical perfection and capture the spaces, emotions, and memories that define belonging. Observed annually on August 19, the day commemorates the historical 1839 announcement of the daguerreotype process by the French government.
