1647th Fortnightly Meeting & 3rd Board Meeting Rotary Year 2026–27 of Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was held on 25 September 2026 at Sung Garden, Bijoy Nagar, Dhaka, in a warm, cordial, and engaging atmosphere.

The meeting was presided over by Club President Rtn. Prof. Dr. M Humayun Kabir with the active participation of club leaders and members. The meeting commenced with the Rotary Invocation, delivered by Past President Rtn. Ranjit Kumar Debnath.

Several important matters were discussed and acknowledged during the meeting, including:

* Formation of the Election Commission for the upcoming club election.

* Heartfelt congratulations to the daughter of PP Rtn. Md. Ibrahim Miah on her outstanding achievement of earning a PhD.

* Condolences to PP Rtn. Abdul Salek and his family on the sad demise of his sister.

* Discussion on celebrating the club’s 1650th Regular Meeting as a special Family Night.

* Discussion on a proposed joint service project with the Rotaract Club of Community Medical College.

* Updates and discussions regarding the ongoing Pushti Box project and RCC initiatives in Manikganj.

The meeting was further enriched by the presence and valuable participation of distinguished Rotarians, including PDG Rtn. Ghulam Mustafa; IPP Rtn. Prof. Dr. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan ; President-Elect Rtn. DR. M EASIN ALI ; Vice President Rtn. Ashis Kumar Das; Past President Rtn. Md. Ibrahim Miah; Past President Rtn. Saiful Haque Mintu; Past President Rtn. Omar Faruque Kazol; and Rtn. Adv. Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam.

The gathering reflected the club’s continued commitment to fellowship, service, leadership, and creating lasting impact throughout Rotary Year 2026–27.

Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan Completes Signature Project “Pushti Boxes”

Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan successfully completed its signature project “Pushti Boxes” on Sunday, 20 September 2026 for this month at Dhaka Community Medical College & Hospital - DCMCH, where seven (07) expectant mothers received nutritional support.

The program was attended by our IPP Rtn. Prof. Dr. Omor Sharif Ibne Hasan, President Rtn. Prof. Dr. M Humayun Kabir, Vice President Rtn. Ashish Kumar Das, Secretary Rtn. S. M. Mohidur Rahman, Joint Secretary Rtn. Khadiza Khatun Munni, along with members of the Rotaract Club of Dhaka Community Medical College and Rotaract Club Of Dhaka University

We extend our sincere gratitude to our IPP Rtn. Prof. Dr. Omor Sharif Ibne Hasan for generously providing the venue and making comprehensive arrangements for the program, including refreshments and other necessary support.

The ceremony concluded with an inspiring speech by our President Rtn. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Humayun Kabir, followed by refreshments and fellowship among the Rotarians and Rotaractors.

Through “Pushti Boxes,” Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan continues its commitment to supporting maternal health and contributing to healthier communities.

1646th Regular Fortnightly Meeting | Rotary Year 2026–27

The 1646th Regular Fortnightly Meeting and 5th Fortnightly Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27 of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was held today at Dhaka Club Ltd. bringing together Rotarians in a spirit of fellowship, leadership, purposeful dialogue, and a shared commitment to Rotary’s inspiring theme—“Create Lasting Impact.”

The meeting was presided over by Club President Rtn. Prof. Dr. M Humayun Kabir, who welcomed the members and emphasized the importance of purposeful service, sustainable initiatives, active participation, and collective leadership in transforming communities and creating lasting change.

The proceedings began with an instrumental rendition of the National Anthem, followed by the Rotary Invocation, delivered by President (Elects) Rtn. DR. M EASIN ALI, The solemn opening set a dignified and inspiring tone for the evening’s proceedings.

A notable highlight of the meeting was reflecting the club’s continued commitment to improving community wellbeing. Members subsequently engaged in meaningful discussions on the Pushti Box Project, Tree Plantation initiatives, and the ongoing Rotary Community Corps (RCC) Project in Manikganj. Deliberations also focused on upcoming humanitarian and community development initiatives, with particular emphasis on sustainability, measurable outcomes, and meaningful community impact.

The gathering was honored by the presence of Past President Rtn. Syed Shakhawat Hossain, Past president Rtn.M A Salek, Vice President Rtn. Ashis Kumar Das, Club Secretary Rtn. SM Mohidur Rahman, Joint Secretary Rtn. Khadiza Khatun Munni, Rtn. Engr. AKM Myn Uddin, Rtn. Md Monirul Islam and other esteemed members of the club.

The meeting concluded with a delightful fellowship breakfast, creating a warm opportunity to strengthen bonds of friendship, exchange ideas, celebrate shared aspirations, and reaffirm the timeless Rotary principle of “Service Above Self.”

🏏⚽ SPORTS FOR SMILE – Spreading Joy Through Sports

The Rotaract Club Of Dhaka University, in association with the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan organized the “SPORTS FOR SMILE” project to distribute sports equipment among the students of Sir Salimullah Muslim Orphanage, Azimpur, Dhaka.

The programme was a wonderful initiative aimed at promoting physical activity, teamwork, discipline, and happiness among the young students. Our respected President, Rtn. Prof. Dr. Humayun Kabir, honoured the occasion with his presence and distributed the sports equipment among the students.

It was truly heartwarming to see the smiles, excitement, and enthusiasm of the little students as they received the sports equipment. Their joy made the programme even more meaningful and memorable for all of us.

A heartfelt thank you to the Rotaract Club of Dhaka University for their sincere efforts, enthusiasm, and commitment in making this beautiful initiative a success. We sincerely appreciate everyone whose support and cooperation contributed to this wonderful project.

August Pushti Box Distribution Program

The August edition of the “Pushti Box Distribution Among the Expectant Mothers” project, an initiative of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was held on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, at 10:00 AM at Dhaka Community Medical College & Hospital.

The program was attended by the Club President, Rotarian Prof. Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, and the Club Secretary and Immediate Past President, Rotarian Prof. Dr. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan.

With the aim of ensuring proper nutrition, good health, and safe motherhood for expectant mothers, this humanitarian initiative of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan will continue, Insha’Allah.

I sincerely express my gratitude and appreciation to all the respected Rotarians and Rotaractors for their valuable presence, support, and active participation in making the program a successful and meaningful one.
