The 1643rd Regular Fortnightly Meeting & 1st Board Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27
The 1643rd Regular Fortnightly Meeting and the 1st Board Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27 of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was held at the Dhaka Club Ltd. in an atmosphere of fellowship, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Rotary’s annual theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”
The meeting was presided over by Rtn. Prof. Dr. Humayon Kabir, who welcomed the members and emphasized the importance of meaningful service, sustainable projects, and active member engagement throughout the Rotary year.
The program commenced with the instrumental rendition of the National Anthem, followed by the Rotary Invocation, which was delivered by President-Elect Rtn. DR. M EASIN ALI, setting a respectful and inspiring tone for the proceedings.
A special highlight of the meeting was the official launch of the first issue of The Cosmopolitan Bulletin for Rotary Year 2026–27. The publication was inaugurated by Bulletin Editor, Past President Rtn. Ranzit Kumar Nath, marking another milestone in the club’s commitment to documenting its service activities, strengthening communication, and preserving its proud legacy.
The meeting was attended by Immediate Past President Rtn. Saiful Haque Mintu, Past President Rtn. M. A. Salek, Past President Rtn. Khondokar Omar Faruque Kazol, Joint Secretary Rtn. Khadiza Khatun Munni, Rtn. Dr. Shahidul Islam, Rtn.Engr. AKM Myn Uddin and other distinguished Rotarians of the club.
Members engaged in constructive discussions on the progress and long-term sustainability of the Rotary Community Corps (RCC) Project in Manikganj, along with several forthcoming service initiatives. Key agenda items included the Pushti Box Project, the Tree Plantation Campaign, and various humanitarian and community development programs designed to create sustainable, measurable impact in line with Rotary’s vision of “Create Lasting Impact.”
The Board also reviewed strategic priorities for the new Rotary year, focusing on strengthening membership engagement, enhancing project sustainability, expanding community partnerships, and reinforcing the club’s commitment to excellence in service.
The meeting concluded with a warm fellowship breakfast, providing members with an opportunity to strengthen friendships, exchange ideas, and renew their collective dedication to Service Above Self. The gathering reflected the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan’s enduring spirit of unity, leadership, and compassionate service, laying a strong foundation for a successful and impactful Rotary Year 2026–27.
