The Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan is delighted to share the Rotary Year 2026–27 Calendar of Major Events for Districts 64 & 65, Bangladesh, under the inspiring theme “Create Lasting Impact.”

This calendar highlights the key service projects, leadership programs, fellowship events, and international Rotary activities throughout the Rotary year. We look forward to working together in service, strengthening our communities, and creating a lasting impact.

The 1643rd Regular Fortnightly Meeting & 1st Board Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27

The 1643rd Regular Fortnightly Meeting and the 1st Board Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27 of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was held at the Dhaka Club Ltd. in an atmosphere of fellowship, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Rotary’s annual theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”

The meeting was presided over by Rtn. Prof. Dr. Humayon Kabir, who welcomed the members and emphasized the importance of meaningful service, sustainable projects, and active member engagement throughout the Rotary year.

The program commenced with the instrumental rendition of the National Anthem, followed by the Rotary Invocation, which was delivered by President-Elect Rtn. DR. M EASIN ALI, setting a respectful and inspiring tone for the proceedings.

A special highlight of the meeting was the official launch of the first issue of The Cosmopolitan Bulletin for Rotary Year 2026–27. The publication was inaugurated by Bulletin Editor, Past President Rtn. Ranzit Kumar Nath, marking another milestone in the club’s commitment to documenting its service activities, strengthening communication, and preserving its proud legacy.

The meeting was attended by Immediate Past President Rtn. Saiful Haque Mintu, Past President Rtn. M. A. Salek, Past President Rtn. Khondokar Omar Faruque Kazol, Joint Secretary Rtn. Khadiza Khatun Munni, Rtn. Dr. Shahidul Islam, Rtn.Engr. AKM Myn Uddin and other distinguished Rotarians of the club.

Members engaged in constructive discussions on the progress and long-term sustainability of the Rotary Community Corps (RCC) Project in Manikganj, along with several forthcoming service initiatives. Key agenda items included the Pushti Box Project, the Tree Plantation Campaign, and various humanitarian and community development programs designed to create sustainable, measurable impact in line with Rotary’s vision of “Create Lasting Impact.”

The Board also reviewed strategic priorities for the new Rotary year, focusing on strengthening membership engagement, enhancing project sustainability, expanding community partnerships, and reinforcing the club’s commitment to excellence in service.

The meeting concluded with a warm fellowship breakfast, providing members with an opportunity to strengthen friendships, exchange ideas, and renew their collective dedication to Service Above Self. The gathering reflected the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan’s enduring spirit of unity, leadership, and compassionate service, laying a strong foundation for a successful and impactful Rotary Year 2026–27.

Strengthening International Partnership Through Rotary

The Rotary club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was honored to welcome Rtn. Moon Youngsoo, Charter President (2025–2026) of the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh Daun Penh, Cambodia, for a warm courtesy visit to Dhaka City Physiotherapy Hospital.

The meeting was hosted by Rtn. DR. M EASIN ALI, President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan and Chairman of Dhaka City Physiotherapy Hospital, reflecting Rotary’s enduring commitment to international fellowship, friendship, and collaboration.

A key highlight of the visit was the official Flag Exchange Ceremony between the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan and the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh Daun Penh. This symbolic exchange represents our shared dedication to Service Above Self and our collective vision of building stronger global partnerships through Rotary.

The discussions focused on several areas of mutual interest, including:

The 1642nd Regular Fortnightly Meeting and the 1st Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27 of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was held at the Dhaka Club Ltd. in a spirit of fellowship, service, and commitment to creating a lasting impact.

The meeting was presided over by Rtn. Prof. Dr. Humayon Kabir, Assistant Coordinator, Rotary District 3282. Rtn. Md. Moshiul Alam graced the occasion as the Special Guest.

Among those present were Immediate Past President Rtn. Prof. Dr. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan, President-Elect Rtn. DR. M EASIN ALI, Past President Rtn. Ranzit Kumar Nath, Past President Rtn. Saiful Haque Mintu, Past President Rtn. M. A. Salek, Past President Rtn. Khondokar Omar Faruque Kazol, Past President Rtn. Syed Shakhawat Hossain, Joint Secretary Rtn. Khadiza Khatun Munni, Rtn. Inauguration of Rotary Community Corps (RCC)

On 3rd July 2026, The Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan proudly inaugurated its Rotary Community Corps (RCC) at Jadobpur, Katigram, Manikganj, marking another significant step towards sustainable community development.

The inauguration ceremony was graciously led by our Immediate Past President, Rtn. Prof. Dr. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan, in the presence of President-Elect Rtn. DR. M EASIN ALI, Past President Rtn. Omar Faruque Kazol, Club Secretary Rtn. S. M. Mohidur Rahman, Rtn. Md. Khadimul Islam, Rtn. Engr. A.K.M. Myn Uddin, along with respected local representatives, Assistant professor of Surgery, BSMMU, Dr. Md Ziaur Rahman and Principal of Blooms Specialized School Mr. Jahangir Hossain.

As part of this sustainable RCC initiative, the club will install a deep tube well and sanitary latrines to improve access to safe drinking water and sanitation for underprivileged families in the community.

During the visit, our team also toured a school for children with physical disabilities, where we interacted with the students, teachers, and community leaders to better understand their needs and explore future opportunities for meaningful service.

The Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan remains committed to implementing sustainable, community-driven projects that create lasting impact and improve the quality of life for those in need.
